Seattle Children's Feb 2026 New Grad Residency

Hi everyone! I thought I'd start this thread since the Seattle Children's Feb New Grad Residency will be opening soon. I am a new grad from NorCal, where finding a job is quite literally impossible right now. I'm wondering how competitive this residency is? My dream is to start in the NICU. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Last cohort it was for CICUand PICU. This time I did cancer and blood disorders and CICU

Hi! I'm from socal, I interviewed with CICU and NICU for their Summer cohort. This round I applied to NICU and Surgical!

Wait, I didn't see CICU on the list of units that are hiring this cohort. Where did you see cicu was hiring? This is what I saw under the application listing

ik the application is on a rolling basis and they close early, but does anyone know when it usually closes? I have work today and literally can't submit until im back home tonight and scared it's gonna be too late 😭

It probably was in the drop box in the actual application.

It was in the drop down menu when I applied but I really want blood and cancer and if anything I'm open to other units if they offer like PICU

Hm yeah I saw it in the drop down menu too! It confused me because CICU and a few other floors that weren't on the list were on the drop down menu, so I wonder if they are hiring or not.  I would've definitely gone for CICU

If I get an interview I'll ask LOL and tell them PICU is my second instead 😂 LOL

Tbh, from what I heard and also from my experience from last time, you RARELY get considered for your second choice, it's mostly only your first! I put rehab as my second because it was in the drop box, but not on the list :((
