Hi everyone! I thought I'd start this thread since the Seattle Children's Feb New Grad Residency will be opening soon. I am a new grad from NorCal, where finding a job is quite literally impossible right now. I'm wondering how competitive this residency is? My dream is to start in the NICU. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi, 

Thank you for starting this thread! I'm also for NorCal, and I'll be applying to this upcoming cohort. From what I've been reading, applying early is key to getting a phone screening. From the phone screening, they schedule an interview. I'm still looking at what units I want to apply to. Goodluck!!

That's awesome!! Do you know how competitive this residency is? I feel like all I know is the trenches of California competitiveness LOL

Honestly, no, but I'm hoping that its not as competitive as it is here in NorCal.

It's very competitive, unfortunately :((

I didn't know a thread was created, but I also made one LOL it was very helpful last application cycle!

I applied last cohort and made it to an interview but didn't get in. I just applied so hopefully I make it this time. I moved out here from so cal as well.
