Searching for Nursing Cap-CCAC-Community College of Allegheny County

Updated:   Published

I am an LPN not working now. When I left the field of nursing many years ago I left my nurses cap at work. I regret not going back to get it. I graduated from CCAC LPN program. I want to get my cap. I worked very hard for my degree. I was able to get ahold of a girl friend who graduated with me and have been trying to get the cap replaced. It was made by Kay's caps in New York. I even took the cap up to the factory. The supervisor there has been trying to get the owner to agree to make me one. I am willing to pay for it, but he has been very stubborn. She is very sweet and would make it for me, but she needs her boss to OK the work. I have been on this quest for about 4 years. I call every so often and her boss ignores her and my request. The cap has been verified that it is a genuine Kay's cap. They have thousands of designs and it would take a long time to go through every one just to get my cap number. The one reason she can't get it done is every cap they made has a number on it, but unfortunately the one I borrowed from my friend doesn't have a number on it. The only thing we can figure out is they at that time didn't put the number on it. If I could get the number then she would have maybe a better chance of getting her boss to finally make one for me. If any one has the cap number I would appreciate getting it. I have already went to CCAC and they were no help to be either. My desire is to have one before I pass away, and show my grandchildren it, and a memorial. If you are a nurse and have gotten your cap and degree you know the feeling I have for such an issue as this. Please if you can help me get the number. The nursing program was the LPN program from CCAC-Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Thank you.
