They discussed the number of applicants at orientation. As far as the selection process is concerned, they simplified it for themselves by disallowing points for volunteer experience, not allowing letters of recommendation or personal statements, and making it entirely a numbers game. It's simply a matter of academic performance. It's rough out there! Applicants had better be on their a-game, or forget about it. The struggle is real, haha.

Are we supposed to put in our intent to enroll by May 1st? Other schools want you to even if you don't know about the nursing program yet, but you just aren't required to pay. I'm getting the protocol a bit mixed up for each school. So are you guys already putting in your intent or does SDSU have a different deadline for nursing majors?

There is no intent to enroll required by SDSU SON until you've been offered a spot.

SDSU please give me good news , I have been waitlisted for two of the nursing programs that I've applied . Please if anybody has any information about when they're going to send out emails, post it here :nailbiting:

Ummmm...I called again :roflmao:

they said they had submitted their list to the university and that our status in WebPortal should be updated by tomorrow. Once we accept admission to the university generally, then we will get our acceptance letter to the SON. This is happening, folks! Best of luck to everyone! :woot:

Will the university send us an email or will it just change the status in our portal?

Tomorrow is May 1st, and it is the last day to intent to SJSU... Should I hold off and wait if I got in for SDSU or don't risk it and pay the deposit for SJSU so I don't lose my spot.
