Scrubbing In For C-Sections

Published

I have what may be an obvious question. I will be starting a job as an OB Tech tomorrow. I have no hospital experience and am very anxious and excited at the same time. I have been a stay at home mom for the better part of the last 3 years. In that time i have gained approx. 30 lbs. While I trying to lose some weight I have a little problem. I can't get my wedding band off. Will i need to remove it prior to scrubbing in? I thought I might, but don't want to put myself through the pain and struggle of getting it off or possibly cut off if I don't have to. Thanks for your help.

Yes, you MUST remove your ring to scrub in.

Well after a few days of dieting and only drinking water I managed to get it off. Thanks for the replies, it made me grin through the pain and tug a little harder so I wouldn't have to get it cut off because there is an inscription inside that I didn't want cut through. I was pretty sure that I was going to have to remove it, I am glad I know for sure and was able to remove it.
