Scripps New Grad Program applications opened today for their March 2025 Cohort
CoolERNurse said:hard to say since they are vague... are you a new grad nurse with less than 6 months? do you have your license yet? or pending? mine still say " completed" since Dec 8.
Yes, less than 6 months and I have my license. Job status says "closed" but I didn't receive a rejection email so not sure what it means.

I was a LPN/LVN from 2016-2023, and I thought that would make me look good but I've been getting rejected left and right. It's so discouraging. But I wish everyone here the best of luck.
If you got rejected that quick it didn't even reach a recruiter. I think your dates of graduating is too far. For the new grad program I think it's 12 months prior to applying. You might want to reach out to a Scripps recruiter on LinkedIn and ask if they have any other transition programs from new nurses who don't fall within the limits explain that your were a LVN they might can put you with the other transitioning programs

I understand its tough and frustrating.... my suggestion is be open to applying to small hospitals or relocate to another city if the opportunity presented to you. sure, we all want to work the big hospital like UC San diego, scripps, sharp etc, this is why its so hard to get in, we are competing with over 500 other applicants. Once you work in a smaller hospital, stay for 1 year than reapply to the larger hospitals.

It just depends where you're looking at the status from on my when I look on the main profile page it shows closed but when I go to the candidate application status it says submitted

I only see the "applications" tab where it says closed on my end. I'm not sure where to look on the main profile... I hope I didn't get rejected.

I don't think so... its a new grad residency so theyre most likely looking at our resumes and stuff I assume. IDK
