I got the on demand interview and my application was forwarded to hiring managers but I didn't get an interview. I'm going to try and be more natural and less robotic for the on demand interview this time and I made some changes to my resume and cover letter

Yea, this job market is so tough. Are you currently working as an RN, I am debating getting a job at a SNF or something just to have current job experience. I have past medical experience but have been just looking for a hospital job since I just graduated in October...I really thought it would be easier to find a job haha they don't tell you anything in nursing school

Just got a rejection email this is pretty much it for me I graduated in August 2023, got endorsed here in CA Jan 2024, haven't really been working cause I don't want to rack up 6 months experience. I was a LPN/LVN from 2016-2023, and I thought that would make me look good but I've been getting rejected left and right. It's so discouraging. But I wish everyone here the best of luck.

I was not aware how challenging is to get a job as a new grad nurse. I am a southern california native, Just graduated from nursing school from NY in September. Just recently passed my NCLEX. All my nursing friends in NY, got jobs right away since they need nurses in NY/Philly/NJ very bad. They pretty much will hire anyone with a heartbeat and a license. LOL I prefer to stay in Los Angeles since its my home but I am open to relocate to SD and Orange county for a new grad program such as Scripps/Sharp/UC etc. but I am just going to take any nursing job at a small hospital if an offer is made. Wish everyone the best of luck!

You got a rejection email from where? Scripps? Already?

That is so weird, there must be some kind of algorithm...maybe create a new profile with a different email address? LOL I did that for a job one time because I felt like it had something against me. I had put in many applications at this hospital and finally when I made a new profile I got a call it was weird.

Before the video like they didn't even wanna see my face LOL

I know especially because last time I got the on demand interview with pretty much the same application. For real tho I might give that a try cause damn I'm salty RN

I stay with family right now in Orange County, close to San Diego. It is extremely expensive. The pay will be good but depends on your quality of life you want. I put the pay into chatGPT to see what my paychecks would look like with CA taxes and didn't seem too unrealistic to be able to afford a place on my own personally. I also had it calculate the time and a half we get after 8 hours into the pay. You can definitely find a cheaper place but probably a little more inland, or maybe a small commute.
