Scott & White Temple TX ED Internship

Hey guys!

I graduate in May! I got an ER internship in Temple TX and I was wondering about a few of the perks. I got a hold of the HR lady and I go in soon and start the orientation, but do they have loan reimbursement with the residency? I wasn't sure if that would be an option since I already have to sign a 2 year commitment. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

I work at S&W in the CTICU. Even with the contract, there is no loan reimbursement. There is tuition reimbursement for another degree if you choose to go back to school.

Welcome! You're going to love the ER. The internship is very helpful in preparing you to be on your own and the managers really care about your well-being throughout your internship. If you don't feel like you're ready to be on your own they'll extend the internship. However, there are no loan reimbursments. Where are you coming from?

Do you have any pointers for me- I will be graduating in August- and I do not want to wait till January to start a job. Do they hire new grads not during internship?I have 5 years OR experience as a surgical tech?

And how do I contact the nurse recruiter?

How is the ER? I am doing that rotation now- it's a whole new world! Fun.

How is the internship going? What time of year so the open up applications again? I will be graduating in December.
