Hi,
I have recently applied to a LPN program in New York; however, their curriculum shows that the courses for each semester include A&P1 and 2, microbiology, math and psychology. I have a Bachelors degree and have completed all these science, math and psych courses(all completed with A's), do the nursing schools normally make you take them over or would they allow me to just take my nursing courses?
I hope someone would give me some feedback since I have tried contacting the school to ask but they never call me back or answer or reply to emails and I am in Miami, Fl and the school is in New York.

You would have to verify with the school, but the general rule I've found is that schools will accept sciences that are no more than 5 years old. They may also have a minimum gpa that they will accept. With a BA, have you considered an accelerated BSN program? That may be a better route for you (although usually pricier...sigh).

What school?
I thought about the BSN program but LPN is my Plan B if I dont get into PA school this coming year. A BSN would take an additional 2 years as oppose to the LPN 1 year and I would be trying to buy some time for the following year and to have the ability to work as on office manager in a medical practice. Of course this would be if I dont get into PA school this coming year but get accepted the following year. (crossing fingers)

The Suny don't require those classes as pre recs for LPN, but do for RN.
They should take those as transfer classes, do they have your transcripts?
Are you accepted?
If yes, look at sans report, and should say what is needed.
Is SUNY the same as CUNY? Im not too familiar since CUNY seems to be affiliated with so many schools. They are still waiting on my transcripts which I requested about 2 weeks ago and no, I have not been accepted yet.
State vers City
So wait for transcripts, they will go over and tell you what they accept
All sciences must be less then 10 years old

if they dont call you back or email you back or respond at all, i think thats your main problem right now lol but anyways, most schools will accept transfer credits. does it mention it on their website?

I think it depends on how long ago you took those classes. The community college in my area will take classes no older than 5 years. :)
