So where is/did everyone go to school? How would you rate it and if there was a wait how long was it?

Hello I am currently a student in West Michigan at Grand Rapids Community College. (ADN) The wait for this program is approximately 5 years. Most if not all have a wait. Grand Valley has a lottery and GPA requirements for their program. ( the last I heard, someone correct me if I am wrong) Montcalm Community College is a ladder program (LPN>RN).

I like GRCC, the program is very hard. I know first hand from failing a test and sitting out for one full year to get back in the program :(. On the up side we have the highest success % for the NCLEX. We have an 80% or better grade in all classes to pass. 80% is a C ! We have some really great teachers that make the experience wonderful and some who are much tougher. It is luck of the draw. After a round with a tough instructor, the next clinical is easier...lol. The tought ones make you think and when it is all said and done you are better prepared for the real world. Hope this helps.
