Im currently in school in Tennessee but Im moving to Texas after graduation. Is it possible to take the NCLEX in Texas instead of Tennessee? I know there both part of the compact states but im not sure how to relocate a nursing license.

Actually you don't have to change licensing if you take your boards in Texas. According to the Texas BON, you'll need to do a few things before registering for your test.

Then after fulfilling the above requirements you can apply online:

Edit: I took my NCLEX in a different state. Originally I am from the West Coast and before I moved to Pittsburgh I debated the same thing. At the time I had to pack up quickly so I didn't have time to study for the NCLEX before moving. It depends on how much time you have :) You can do it either way!
