Technically, a board of ed can't hire you on a provisional basis unless they cannot find a certified school nurse to apply for the position. They are being closely scrutinized in this area. If you want to try the bigger cities in NJ, you may be able to get away with it because, just like certified teachers, certified nurses leave the cities for better pay and working conditions. If it was meant to be though, you may just happen to fall into a situation that gives you that option. It happened to me 5 years ago.
