Hello...I am graduating in May and am concerned about preparing for the NCLEX exam. I am wondering if you have any helpful hints about studing. Our instructors are pushing for a lot of review courses and I am considering reviewing from internet sources. What do you suggest?

Hi - Congratulations on your graduation!! It has been a while since I took the NCLEX exam, but a wise teacher told me that I had learned everything I needed to know over the last 4 years while in school to pass the test. The best thing I could do would be to relax, trust in what I had learned, and If I felt I needed to study, just review and don't get overwhelmed by the comming event. There are books put out by NCLEX that are nice reviews and give you an idea on how the test questions will be worded. When I found myself getting nervous and thinking about the test, I would pick up the book and review some of the questions. Of course I had some anxiety like everyone else - but sometimes you have to trust what you know.

I'm in the same boat. I graduate this week and am trying to decide how to review. I was thinking of taking a live review, but don't want to spend four days in a another classroom while not getting paid. I recently took the mosby assess test and it said I would have passed with ease, but that still doesn't leave me with the level of comfort I'm looking for. I'll probably use the two NCLEX review books I already have the way JB sugested. As for the online reviews, I don't know which to choose. We used the delmar online review for a class and it was awful. After three sample tests I had already exhausted the test bank. If you decide on an online review please leave a post about how well you like it. I'll do the same. Good luck Marva.
