I was wondering if School Nurses are being used anymore. I am a stay-at-home mom and work everyother weekend at a local nursing home. I chose this because it gives me extra money, keeps me home when my kid gets out of school, and to keep my skills up. However, I would like to do something more. I don't think you get clinical skills in a nursing home that you would get in another setting.
I think I would like to be a school nurse.

Yes, they do have school nurses in Richmond and Columbia counties in GA and in Aiken county in SC. These are all located in the Augusta, GA area.

A friend of mine is a school nurse in the Clayton County school system and I know they use them in Dekalb.
