what do I need to do to get ready for this? I'm 37yo and have been out of school until this last year........what do I need to know for this test and what are the key things to focus on brushing up my skills on?

Thanks

Rachel

definately get the study guide... it is the only thing that I studied and I got a 92% on the teas. it should be available at your school bookstore and if not you can get it off of the ati website

check out atitesting.com and get the study guide...it'll give you access to actual pratice TEAS exams

I had the study guide as well and believe me, the actual exam is much easier. Don't stress over it. It's not that bad at all. It is 3 hours long but you will not need that much time. The math portion took me the longest. The science portion is more so analytical and critical thinking; only 1 question for a&p.

Good Luck

Thats good to know.......and I'll check out the study guide.

What gets me is this...........you've gotten through Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology..........haven't we proven we have the skills needed to get through this? Why a stupid general ed test? I don't get it.......

My school also requires the TEAS test for entrance into the nursing program. I think that the study guide was a huge help. The first time I took the test I had the study guide and really did not use it, I got a 78. After using the study guide I was able to improve my grade to 84, which got me into the program. The second time I also waited until the nursing deadline was closer so that I could learn everything that I could. There are probably many methods. Good Luck!

I paid for the study guide & two online practice tests, but I thought it's questions where a lot harder than the test I took at my school. I got an 88.2 on my first try and then took it again after I had taken my pre-reqs and got a 91.2. ANP helped with the science portion and Int. Algebra helped with the math. If I had to do it again, I'd probably save my money.

Take everyone's advice and get the study guide! I only used it for a couple of days and got 85% my first and only try. It definitely prepares you for the real thing and it got me into that nursing program!

its very annoying they just started this at my school too, you need a 4.0 to get into the program and then if you get in they make you take the TEAS. I am like what? boy if you don't pass what's that say about the school?

Don't worry about this test! Just get the study guide and study it for a few days, and you will be good to go. It really isn't that bad.
