School dilemma

Published

Hi! Everyone!

I am so glad I signed up to the site! I have been reading for a while now and decided to join! I have a dilemma about school and looking for some advice. I am attending an fnp program for the last 4 years. This is year #5 with anticipation to graduate in fall of 2015.

I have two classes right now and have a c average in Health Promotion in populations. (not much room to pull it up) It has been beat into our heads if we didn't pass a class we would have to repeat the class and it corequisite. With that being said, these are not offered until 2015 and several of my classes are starting to expire. For example Pharmacology and Patho since these were taken when I first started 5 yrs ago. I am looking to apply elsewhere and not a fan of the brick and mortar school for the miscellaneous classes which can be taken online. I have seen many online schools such as Drexel etc.

At this point I am sick of this school but do not want to give up my career goal. I am in clinical rotations now and love family practice and the role as the nurse practitioner. I have been a nurse for 15 years. I am thinking it's time to move on to another school. I feel like I have been nickel and dimed and now I have retake these classes all over????

I appreciate your thoughts

Is there anyway you could speak to the instructors about doing an extra project or assignment to bring your grade up?

Tasha,

thanks for the response but I did ask and I was told there is no extra credit. So I think I am just going to transfer 9 credits to an online school.
