I've been awarded a scholarship for the next academic year! The letter said donors and sponsors of the scholarship program welcome letters from students. I've never recieved a scholarship before so I'm not too sure what to include in this type of letter? Short and sweet? Should I include anything more personal? Suggestions appreciated!

I would keep it short, sweet, and to the point. Awe, congrats!

I'm getting ready to write one myself- I definitely plan to keep it short and to the point and also to let them know how much it means to me that they have faith in me and have enabled me to continue my education. That's pretty much all it needs to say, I think.

Congrats on the scholarship. I just sent my thank you letter the other day and just said how it was an honour to be the recipient of the scholarship and wrote how it would assist me with my uni expenses.
