Scheduling CPNRE in Ontario May 2016

Published

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know what the process was for people who have successfully scheduled the CPNRE in May 2016.

I am in my last semester of the practical nursing program at George Brown College and I have submitted my application to the CNO. They have charged me and sent me the Jurisprudence exam link to which I completed and passed. But, I have still to receive this link to Pearson Vue to schedule the actual CPNRE.

Anyone have any insights or been able to schedule it?

Thanks!

I see nothing on the CNO website that indicates scheduling the exam with Pearsonvue. It appears deadline is April to register and then usually you will get info on where to go. It appears to be still a 4 hour multichoice exam

Stand corrected, found it. May be worth checking this out CPNRE and Computer-based Training: Information for Applicants

Hope this helps to answer some of your questions and gives you an idea of the scheduling process. :)

In response to your your query. CNO has posted some information on their website about the scheduling process for the new exam. I suspect they will forward more details and notify you with your links soon.

Hope this helps. :sneaky:

Just a quick follow up in order to schedule your exam you must have:

1) Confirmation to take the test from your regulatory authority; and

2) Authorization to Test email from Pearson Vue

Here are some additional details from the Pearson Vue website. According to Pearson Vue, "It is recommended that you schedule your appointment well in advance of the Authorized Dates” indicated in the Authorization to Test” email." You want to give yourself enough time to get ready.

Hope this helps. :sneaky:
