anyone applying for the RN program at Suffolk Community College - Fall 2014??

Hi everyone! I applied to the Ammerman Day as my first choice and Grant day as my second choice. I was looking at the forum for the 2013 suffolk nursing and it looks like everyone found out around march 16, so the wait should almost be over!! Good luck everyone!!

yay we were wondering why there was not many people following this thread. I think now we are getting more followers :) good luck everyone! I think by the end of March we should all know who got accepted. joyla163 I have a C+ in A&P II too, which hurts a lot my GPA but I was told to keep my hopes up, so we never know. ;)

Yeah I'm aware of how that grade is decreasing my chances but I still have that little voice inside saying "just maybe, give it a try". Good luck to you as well. And please, if anyone receives a letter, let us know! The wait is killing us.

Hi everyone, I applied to ammerman day as my first choice and grant as my second. I recently got rejected from stony brooks Accelerated BSN program which I knew would be a long shot so I wasn't too surprised.... I have a b.s. In psychology from stony brook then changed my career choice to nursing. I have a pretty good Gpa from my first 2 years at suffolk, stony brooks is lower (tough science classes there) I'm just hoping to get into this program, it's close to home and my union will pay for 80% of my tuition so my fingers are crossed! I know someone in admissions and they mentioned letters usually go out beginning of April but I noticed last years forums they found out earlier so we will see! Anyone else unable to sleep lately? Lol I also have a C+ in A&P I which I took 3 years ago and As in all the other pre reqs, so I'm hoping I have a decent chance, good luck to all!

I also have my bachelors in psych and did not get accepted to SB either .. I applied to the two year program but do not think I will be accepted, they are very competitive . I can't wait to find out about suffolk, I just want to get started already lol ... I'm hoping we will find out this month and I think being that you have A's in all your other pre-reqs you have a good chance of getting in .. Good luck !

I applied to both Stonybrook and Suffolk.. Really hoping to get into Suffolk! I heard Stonybrook has already sent out emails interviewing people! What are your grades everyone? Also, is it true rejection letters were sent out for Suffolk?

I am not sure if they sent rejections or if it's just a rumor but I haven't received anything yet. My grades are

A&P1: B+

A&P2: B+

Eng: A

Psych: B+

Micro: C

I'm worried about my micro grade

Don't worry about your micro grade! They don't take it into consideration! :) I'm just so scared in general, I'm upset about stonybrook too.. I really thought I had a chance even though Suffolk is my first choice as it is cost friendlier & easier with work :/

I know how you feel ! I really wanted to get into stony brook too, they also only accept about 80 students out of like 700+
