Anyone else submit their apps for SCC or ARC for fall 2021?I submitted my SCC packet last week and ARC the other day. I was hoping my online app status would change to received but it still says submitted 

First time applying for ARC. It’s the only school I applied for. If I don’t get in, over the next year I’m going to learn a language and get a certification in something to increase my points. Then I will apply to ARC, Sac City, Sierra, and CSUS.

Oh nice! I know I feel like a lot of ppl apply to at least 4..would’ve been nice if I could have..I didn’t qualify for Sierra cus I gotta stupid B in physio ? but that’s OK..hopefully I get one out of 3! Some girls get in right away so you never know, you might not have to learn another language LOL

Is there anything you can do to increase your chances for Sierra College? I just checked ARC and my application was received!

Sierra College is a lottery system as well. As far as I’m aware, it really is just random for Sierra, SCC, and ARC. I know Sierra assigns people numbers randomly and then those numbers 1-30 (however many students and alternates) are the ones that get in. If they “secretly” take certain factors into extra consideration and whatnot, that’s not shared! Haha it’s luck once you hit the 70 points!

I could either re-take English or math for an A..or get a 91 on the TEAS..I took a shot for the TEAS and I got an 88 ?ugh so close..Sierra only accepts once a year..so maybe I’ll try again next year

I got the same score for my TEAS, an 88. It wasn’t high enough for CSUS, but I can try again and take it this December. Hopefully I don’t have to do that though! In the meantime I think I’m going to get a phlebotomy certification, just in case!

oh yes I have heard of some ppl doing that! good idea! a girl in my anatomy class did the EMT certification but IDK about that...its pretty tough LOL I know I was excited to get an 88...but just not enough...so competitive! I think I looked into CSUS too..but I didn't qualify either. I heard their program is awesome though!

It would be really nice to get into Sac State, but I would be thankful to get in anywhere honestly!

 

The wait is killing me! I literally check my application status at least four times a day LOL

Last 2 years they didn't notify me till end of April.  ( I wasn't accepted so this is my 3rd time and I am hoping it will be sooner now bc I like to get into lvn program someplace.  I am tired to waiting.

Same boat here regarding waiting! This is my 3rd time applying to SCC and 4th time for ARC (but third year, since they do Spring/fall separately), 2nd for Sierra. I have confidence this is finally going to be my time though! And if not, don’t mind me, I’ll just be shedding a tear or two! Haha.

 

Has anyone else’s SCC status update still not changed to received? The school received my application February 22nd. I know it’ll change eventually, but I feel like it’s been a while! Only another month and a half or so until we get results. It’s always such a hard wait!
