first of all, after doing what you had to do to get admitted to the nursing program, don't get cold feet now! read this thread: https://allnurses.com/forums/f50/first-day-nursing-school-235170.html

since you are new to allnurses, use the next few months to become familiar with the many resources posted in the sticky threads for the nursing students on the nursing student assistance forum (https://allnurses.com/forums/f205/) and general nursing student discussion forum (https://allnurses.com/forums/f50/). a huge part of your success as a student is knowing where to look when you have questions. the most commonly asked questions by students have been made into sticky threads with answers and weblinks.

your success in this kind of school is different from what it was in high school. in nursing school you look for deeper explanations and the answers to "why" you do things and "why" things happen. if the instructors haven't provided those answers then you sometimes have to go looking for them on your own. would you be surprised to learn that there are still questions that some of us are seeking answers to after many years in the profession? it's one of the things that keep many of us in it.

see you on the forums.
