scared of retaking the nclex

You'll do fine on the nclex. Part of test taking is being mentally prepared. Don't let anxiety get the best of you. Just look at it this way....What is the absolute worst thing that can happen? You could fail it again. That's it. (Now I know that's kind of a big deal, but it is NOT life threatening) Well, if you do, you can always retake it. It's not something that is a one time deal. The good thing is that you have prepared yourself well and you will pass! Good luck! :)

Don't get discouraged!!!!

I'm still in nursing school. One of the things that always amazes me is how so many people at exam time are more interested in finishing the exam first, rather than to take their time and think things through. Relax and take your time. Rushing can be a test takers worst enemy....

I agree with Alex. You are not competing to be the first one done, you are there to use the time (yes even ALL of it) to best answer your questions. When you feel anxious take 15 sec to close your eyes and take a deep breath. This helps me a lot when I begin to feel overwhelmed. When you are done with the test, don't torture yourself, treat yourself, you did well! Good luck to you! :)

Be hopeful, don't let anxiety get you down. Be encouragoeus, clear your mind of all fears and pray. Go with confidence knowing that you have studied and you will pass. Think positive. You can do it. I took nclex in feb. and failed, I study using the kaplan book and went to back in confidence to retake for the second in march 31, 2004 and passed. so I do believe if you clear your mind of all fears, you will make it. good luck and God bless.
