SBVC Nursing Fall 2021

I was wondering who else is also applying for SBVC for falll 2021. I'm super nervous because I am only applying with 35 points so we shall see!

@Whatsyourusername thank you so much for taking the time to respond. Will definitely take note of everything you mentioned above. No facebook group yet hopefully once we start we can all get together to create one. Very excited but very nervous at the same time. Thank you again!

What is the book acknowledgment form?

When I clicked onto the acknowledgment form download. I downloaded it and signed it, but I was told that it needs to be updated that’s why it wasn’t in our packet in orientation. I can’t remember off hand what it said.

Just to confirm we were not given the code of conduct or the handbook acknowledgement, correct? Those are the two I don't have uploaded.

Just a suggestion, I know most people try to stay away from social media such as facebook. From past experiences people like to keep their private life private and not interfere with work or school. I've seen it where people will screenshot something like drinking outings or personal believes posted that they were offended by and bring it to the place of work or school so I think facebook shouldn’t be an option. Perhaps Google Hangouts can be a great suggestion since you can use it on your computer when logged on to Gmail and you can have it portable by downloading the app. It’s easy to share files through the Google drive, chat, video chat, work on presentations, collaborate on Google docs just to name a few.

Also, has anyone came across where your titer was equivocal? I had to get a booster vaccine and CastleBranch open another tab for another titer. However, my doctor said I can't get a titer until 1-2 months post the injection to build antibodies. Since everything needs to be posted and uploaded by August 2nd I'm wondering if anyone had to deal with my similar situation because I might not have the last titer done on time.

@LAVyes (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) said those two forms need to be updated and would be provided to us on the first week of orientation. I also got a negative titer report . I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) but she won’t be back until Monday. I’m just assuming by reading what was written under the Hep B vaccine that they will allow a titer report after our deadline you just need to make sure to provide proof that you received the booster or the series again.

I had to get another vaccine as well and it just popped up that I need another titer.  I’m pretty sure they would be fine with us waiting those two months after.  I think as long as we are in the process then we are good.

Also I have never used Google hangouts but I think that is a great idea as well.

I think we should still have a facebook page along with the Google handouts. This way there’s an option. If they don’t prefer social media platforms then they don’t have to use it. I personally don’t mind either of the options.

Has anyone been able to make a counseling appt yet?

Have you guys gotten an email back from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) about the Hbv vaccine? I showed negative and I won’t able to get my second dose until the 13th of august.

@Sherrie no I’ve emailed and called with no response. I did get to register though.

How were you able to register?  Thought everyone gets a certain group they have to register with?  
 

I have a feeling they won’t be able to fix the counseling appointments until next week.
