IDK if I had an actually proctor I just had a screen pop up saying that I’m being recorded. Has anyone emailed the school to see when we’ll hear back?

So I didn't check my email to see the instructions for the ProctorU until 9pm right before I was about to go to sleep to get a good night's rest. It said we were suppose to register for it 72 hours in advance. It was so stressful doing last minute. ? l registered and emailed my confirmation but never got a response. Figured since they did not email us until after 4 pm that we were not going to get a response. I didn't get any sleep last night. Maybe 4 hours.

My test was recorded but I never heard any one. The exam took over my computer and I used the calculator on the exam because your not suppose to use your own. Their calculator worked great. I turned my computer to show I was alone in my room and had no notes or any thing to cheat with. But I was never instructed to.. I watched a video on Youtube that said you should do it to prove you didn't cheat just incase. I took the Chemistry test and got a 68% figured it was better then not attempting to take it and getting a zero. I have not done Chemistry in years.. I think the 68% did bring my grade down a little. My friend took her test for Spring 2020 and they did not have Chemistry, micro or critical thinking. IDK if I did good enough to get in but I tried my best under these circumstances. I get a lot of test anxiety. This set up did not help. I thought I'd be more relaxed at home but thinking someone was watching me or staring at me made me more nervous LOL. I just kept my head facing the screen. It took almost the whole 4 hours. I didn't have a clock in my room so it made it worse not know what time it was.

I emailed the school to ask about the Chemistry and when we should expect their decision. If I hear any thing back I will post it.

I was checking their page and it says it flags you if you read the questions aloud I found myself reading out loud during the reading Comp section. Did any of you guys do the same ?

@zavalateri I understand your frustration! It feels like the school hasn't been communicating very effectively with all of us. Every time I try to reach out I get no response...

@JenniferRR I didn't do that, but I did use scratch paper and my own calculator (since the message at the beginning of the test said we were allowed those resources) and every time I looked down to write on my scratch paper I got paranoid that they would think I'm cheating. So I ended up just holding the blank sheet up to the webcam to show there was no writing LOL.

I am hoping that they will be lenient with us. It seems like there is a lot of confusion and lack of communication going on here ? Hopefully we will hear from them soon

I didn't see the part where it said you can use your own calculator. I used the one on the exam. There's no way to take the math with out pencil and paper so I just showed my paper too that it was blank. I did talk out loud because I have to hear my self say the question sometimes to think of the answer but I kind of mumbled it. I didn't get a great score so proves I didn't cheat other wise I would have got all 90 somethings. I got a 74 which killed it for me. I think I didn't have enough sleep and then all the stress of all the last minute registration and reading to make sure I followed every step. Wish we could have just went and taken the test. I would have been more relaxed and would have done better. Plus there was no clock so I rushed through grammer and got a 60. That was a hard hit. I was afraid of running out of time and getting a zero on it. Still no reply from the school from he email I sent.

@zavalateri There was a box that popped up at the beginning of my exam saying something like "Permitted Resources: four function calculator, scientific calculator, graphing calculator, online calculator, multiple sheets, whiteboard, bathroom breaks." And yeah I agree it would have been a lot less stressful if we were able to take it in person. It was weird that there was no timer either. If it is anything like prior semesters, we will probably find out within a week if we got in! I haven't gotten any email replies either.

I wish I would have gotten a pop up. I had to pee so bad after about 2 hours and I didn't think we could walk away from the computer. That's another reason I had to rush at the end. Fingers crossed tho!

There was another Zoom informational meeting today, so I was able to ask ------------------ about admissions. She said unfortunately the committee hasn't been able to meet yet to make the selections, because there were some students who had difficulty with the software during the HESI, or something. So looks like we won't hear back for a bit.

have they gotten back to anyone’s emails or calls?
