saving up for crna school

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

hey everyone- I'm in the process of interviewing for crna school. I've worked as a staff icu nurse for the past 3 years and I've been able to save up a decent amount of money, but I'm sure i'll need to take out a hefty amount to get me through 3 years. I'm not married and no other source of income.

I just wanted to know how much money others have saved up in preparation for crna school, or how much money you think is adequate? I know it largely depends on location, but am still curious about the amount.

thanks!

I didn't save anything. Loans will be sufficient if you have to or need to take them. Obviously it's best to get through without them, but that is not always possible and I wouldn't let that stop you.

Good luck.

I have no money saved for school. I start in January and plan to take out loans to pay for everything. My husband graduates CRNA school in December and he's got six figures worth of loans....not worried they will be easy to pay off. I however do not have any loans from my undergraduate degree.

Thanks for the replies. I just hate the idea of graduating with almost $200k worth of loans.
