Saunders Q & A Review Cards

Published

Hello, Has anyone used Saunders Q & A Review Cards for the NCLEX-RN exam? I have only been using the main Saunders Exam Review book. I'm in an accelerated program. Believe it or not we have to take a mock NCLEX exam during our 3rd and final semester. The test is on Feb 6th. If we don't pass after 2 attempts, we can't graduate. If anyone else is in an accelerated program, they know there is very little time to study on the side. Does any one have any feedback or perhaps any books they find useful. Thanks

I just graduated from an accelerated RN program and we had to take mock NCLEX style tests all throughout the program. My school started with the ERI system and then transitioned over to the ATI system. I used my Saunders (most recent edition) to study as well as the ATI books/DVDs they gave us. We were in the same boat - 2 chances to make a 90% or better to pass or they would not send your name to the board of nursing to take the real NCLEX. I used my Saunders to study for my final and it helped my tremendously. Now I am using it, along with some other books to study for the NCLEX. Good luck. Just stay focused.

keep using your Saunders book...the cards are too easy. I have the book and the cards.

Dont waste your money on the cards. Just my opinion

I have two of the Saunders books and several older texts and CDs. I plan on going over questions from these sources and won't buy any more resources unless I don't pass. I also have access to an ATI set and will use that too. Hope you do well on your tests so you aren't held up from taking the real thing!

I also recently graduated from an accelerated program. I used the Saunder's Q&A book to review for the exit exam and did very well. The book provides rationales for the correct answers, which helps when answering similar questions. I know how stressful all the work of an accelerated program can be, and this exit exam just adds to it. But just keep doing the questions, review topics that you are unfamiliar with or appear to be a recurrent theme, and take time to relax! You'll do fine!

Check out the Saunders review book at your local bookstore the content is great and the questions at the end of each chapter are very helpful in checking to make sure you were paying attention to what you were reading. I'm in an accelerated program too and I know exactly how you feel. I'm taking my exit exam in a few months. I actually considered getting the review cards too but since SShannon1 said it is too easy maybe I will just stick to my Saunders review book.

GOOD LUCK!!
