I am entering nursing school next semester and just bought the Saunders Comprehensive NCLEX review book on ebay for pretty cheap, the only problem is that the girl I bought it from just emailed me and said that she cannot find the CD-ROM that goes with it and that she can either give me a refund or send me another one of her nursing books (all helpful books to me) for free. I really think the CD-ROM will be beneficial with the text and for about $20 more I can buy the book on amazon but was wanting to get some input first. Is the CD-ROM necessary or can I just use CD-ROMS from future NCLEX review books I am sure I will buy and just accept one of the textbooks she has (one I need is around 35 brand new and I can get if for free?! Or should I just accept the refund? Also was wondering if anyone has the CD-ROM, would they be willing to sell it to me? Thanks in advance!

You really need to have the CD, practicing questions is absolutely necessary.
That said, saunders has the easiest questions of the many products out there, so if you want to just have the book for review (its a very good review), and are willing to buy another NCLEX review with questions (like NCLEX 4500, etc) then it can't hurt to go ahead with the purchase. Its really up to you

I definitely did use the CD, as it had a lot of different tests on it. The book is quite helpful also, but would recommend you get the CD too.
Good luck on your test!

Get your refund and buy the latest edition. I used my CD. There are 1000's of NCLEX questions on it.

Definitely get a refund. There is an assessment test on the CD you can take that tells you what your weak areas are. It also has a study mode where you can do questions on a certain topic and it gives you rationale as you go. I use it quite a bit, more so than the book itself.
thank you all! i asked for my refund because it seems that the CD-ROM will be very helpful;)
