Howdy, y'all~
I'm waking up with a cup of coffee, and then I have to go downstairs to get Nannie up. Hubby got up way early and did his car-sitting routine, now he is curled up in his bed.
Braves won over the Dodgers 6-3 last night. Tonight's game is on around 9:10 PM.
Sunny with an 85 degree high, lots of sun, and no rain predicted; still have too much humidity, but who cares, as long as the A/C is doing its job!
No call-backs on my phone, but I didn't really expect there would be any.
Not sure what I will be doing today.....maybe NUTHIN' !
Later-----
Hello all!
Joe, enjoy your bird-watching! I imagine you will see lots of species, during these warm Summer days. Hope your dad is well.
I got some laundry done yesterday, and walked a bit. It was quite muggy during my walk, humidity around 70%, and cloudy. We even had some showers in late afternoon, what a surprise! It is still cloudy out today, temp will be high of 83, humidity 76%, chance of rain 16%. Any bets on rain??
Today we will attend Zoom Sabbath School. No plans for the afternoon or for tomorrow. The RV is getting new headlights, as the old ones were getting that filmy look, like some of them get. We have tried several times to do the buffing and polishing recommended, and it has helped but only for a few months, then the filminess returns.
Not much else going on... Have a good day!
I kind of miss seeing the little icon for getting into the breakroom. (I know it can be revealed on the drop down from 'community'.) It made me smile just seeing it up there in the right hand corner of my screen, because:
I think it looks like an old-fashioned dial phone....wearing Mickey Mouse ears.
Our convertible has the filmy headlight thing. Some random guy at Walmart told me to use Deep Woods Off on them. My nephew says that's the "redneck solution" and ultimately does more harm than good. Hubs says he knows about how to polish them but you'll note he hasn't done it. I don't like driving that car after dark in unfamiliar places. Or any car, I guess. LOL.
We had "Cheeseburgers in Paradise" today in tribute to Jimmy Buffett. It was hotter today but mercifully still pretty dry. OU easily won their football game. Twin B realized it was game day when he drove to the pool about 7:30 am and the tailgaters were already in full swing. He also learned the pool closes on home game days.
Google Maps showed me my timeline for August and said I had been to 7 airports. I could only think of 6 (still too many!) and saw that it was counting our hospital -- I guess because of the helipad??
There were the usual adolescent arguments about Nannie not going to bed, especially if hubby tells her it is time to go to bed; she ALWAYS says "No." to him. He and she went on and on. I just buried my brain in crossword puzzles....I think I must have done a dozen of them. I have a folder with crossword puzzles from old newspapers (from years ago!) It was amazing to me that I breezed through many of the 'difficult ones'. But now, I can't do the simplest SUDOKU. Numbers make me crazy and I can't 'see' the patterns from square to square. Words are my forte, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
The ballgame was crappy; what's called "A Pitchers Game", because at the end of the 9th inning, the score was 1-1. They say, "Oh! Free Baseball!" which means they go into overtime. It was 11:35 PM ans I said "Uh-uh! I've had enough of this!" I was quite ready for the game to end when it was supposed to!
To bed, to read, perchance to go to sleep.....

Work wasn't too bad in the morning although got crazy in the afternoon, trying to get things done. Did get done on time, but noticed my anxiety has begun climbing again. Will have to keep an eye on that
Rest of the day was pretty quiet. Washed sheets, and decided to try a vodka martini instead of my usual white Russian. Which I liked, although I did not make it as dry as they normally do today
Today off to the Arboretum to do bird watching then lunch with dad. Svengoolie has the original Frankenstein, which I'll watch. Always liked the classic horror ones he does, or the sequels from the 40s
Going to get up to 90 today, no rain expected
