Good morning!
Joe, how long did you have to fast for? I usually eat normally and skip breakfast.
Stars, the pharmacies here can set appointments so if they're busy will be able to get to you. I did that and it was easy peasy although they weren't all that busy at the time I picked. The pharmacist before giving asked if I had any problems with the prior doses and I did not. She did not ask me to wait 15 minutes after and I did not.
Dianah, have fun at the Bluegrass Fest.
J22, sorry to hear about your sister. Wonder why they didn't put her in a walking boot so has not to displace it?
Pur wic incontinence devices are hit and miss with dementia patients. They like to pull them off, also if they are mobile or restless it slips. But they are the world's greatest invention for pre-op fractures that are in such horrible pain when using a bedpan or for stroke patients, etc. I was curious and noted them to be close to $600 for a home system, and then you have to buy the catheters.
Didn't have much to say yesterday and didn't post. Had 4:1 ratio yesterday and it was manageable.
We've been having hot weather lately. Still in the mid-80's every day. I'm fine with that. I don't need "seasons". LOL
Have a great day.
Cool and sunny here. The wind blew hard overnight. Our lights flickered a few times, but we did not lose power, although many neighbors did. The river was quite high during my run this morning, as predicted, but I did not have to dodge puddles as I did yesterday.
We had a nice get together at SIL's place last night to celebrate MIL's birthday. All 3 of my hubby's siblings were there, and most of their kids and grandkids. Dd did not attend as she has strong feelings about her cousins who are anti-vaxxers. I don't know if dh and his brother spoke, but at least there were no heated words. Today, dh says he is going shopping, but he is dozing in front of the TV and college football, with the dog in his lap.
Dianah, I am glad your cat is doing better. I love Thai food! Safe travels!
My pharmacy is so unbusy, that I can usually just walk in for shots, but I know the bigger ones take appointments.
Yeah, I am surprised she didn't get a walking boot if only for comfort. But she says she is doing okay as long as she stays off of it.
No plans for today but re-engaging in my book that I set aside last month. Oh, and some laundry. I should clean out the fridge, but I'm cold and want to stay snuggled under this fleece blanket.
As usual, I am sitting in the den and looking through my laptop, and the two recliner-nappers are doing their afternoon sleeping thing. Such excitement. No, wait, hubby just sat up to ask about what we want for supper! AS usual it is up to me to decide, and since he seems to be wanting fish, I said fried popcorn shrimp. I do not care for this seafood restaurant, but that's because I'm a Yankee from the North-Eastern seashore. It's hard to find good, fresh seafood in this place. Oh well.
I will be glad when hubby is off this Librium taper; it makes him like a zombie. If he's not napping, he's staring at the floor, he hardly talks, and when he calls in a restaurant order, his words get so gummed up that he doesn't always make sense and repeats himself, and then if he comes home and any part of the order is wrong, he has a cow.
I didn't have to do any of Nannie's laundry today. Her bed-cover was damp, so I just drew it back and turned on the ceiling fan.
I wish this household would straighten up and fly right; it is no fun being the only sane person here. No offense to them, but these 2 people have a good bit of dullness in their thought processes. No humor. No hope. No ordinary conversational talk. AUGH! Sad to say that one of Food-Lion's employees who runs the 12-items-or-less (it should be 'fewer'!) register is someone I can actually have a brief and funny conversation with. If I had a dog and cat in my lap right now, I would be more satisfied with their intelligent company.
And so go the days.....
Excuse me, but I just have to spit this out: ?
Hubby has 2 more 25 mg Librium capsules, and is supposed to switch right to the 10 mg. capsules for 4 more days. "DId you check with the pharmacy to see if they filled the 10 mg Librium?"
---"Huh? I 'unno." was his answer.?
I called the pharmacy and they didn't even have ANY prescription for the 10 mg. Librium sent in from his doctor. ? REALLY? ?
Great.?
So I told hubby just to start back on his Xanax 10 mg. 3x/day because that's what the doc told him to do after he was through with the Librium taper. So I guess he's through with the taper!
Jeesh!?

Stars that that your dh is progressing well. That's a lot of laundry
NJ22 39 is awfully cold, I wouldn't want to run in that kind of weather
Dianah glad to hear the cat is doing well
Hi Ado
Was a good day at work, despite having one person out.
After work was fairly quiet. Went for a walk so I could get some exercise without getting too hungry. Stopped eating at 4. Watched a little Star Trek and did some knitting. Texted with J, his best friend's father died so he's going out there to spend a week with the family
Sleep was little disrupted, perhaps because of the hunger but also possibly because all the wind and rain woke me up
Will go a bit early to the blood draw. Will eat something right away afterwards, then try and go bird watching. I think the rain will stop long enough for me to do so, but it will be very windy so I might not see any birds
Will meet dad for lunch as usual. Svengoolie has Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, which is a favorite of mine
Will be a rainy and windy day, but it will get up to about 70
