Ado glad the tornadoes missed you

Stars it could be more of a comprehension issue than a hearing issue

NJ22 speaking of plants I'm thinking of getting some.  My attempts to grow zinnias from seed is not going well

Hi Tweety

Was afraid yesterday would be as crazy as Thursday, but thankfully it wasn't although it was quite busy, a lot of rushing and making a lot of calls and emails.  I hope things prove slower next week

After work I relaxed with a glass of wine and went to  yoga.  The new instructor pushes us a bit harder than the previous one but doesn't overdo it.  Want to try and get there at least once a month

Rather anxious today, perhaps it's the cat's follow up lab appointment later today.  Will be glad when that is over

Will do bird watching with the group today, hopefully the people from church will be there.  Will have lunch with dad then get a haircut.

Svengoolie has The Ghost and Mr. Chicken,  which I've seen before and don't need to see again.  Prefer the classic monster movies

Will be in the low 70s today, don't think we're supposed to get any rain

Gouda Aphternooon!

Got home from the pharmacy run for hubby's Alprazolam, which he has been borrowing from me. ? But I will get mine back now. Last night he woke me up at 4:30 AM and said he was having trembling and the jerks, and could he have just one more xanax. ? I asked him why he didn't just take a few drinks, as that's what he's done before. Instead, he took the Xanax and THEN tossed a mini-bottle down his gullet. GADS! I shouldn't have been surprised; he likes that extra buzz.

So, when I was at the pharmacy, I asked the pharmacist about getting my Covid Booster; she said I should have my Pneumonia shot, too, but then Medicare said I'd already had both of the Pneumonia shots, but that I could use the Shingles shot (it is FREE now! It was going to cost me $179 two years ago, which was why I didn't get it then.) She also told me that they are also recommending the Hep A and Hep B shot (it's combined). I said if it was okay for me to get all three at the same time, and I didn't have to pay for them, go ahead and shoot me up. She said it should be fine. I've never had any kind of reactions to any vaccines, anyway. Two in the left shoulder, one on the right shoulder. Whoopeee! ? It's been on my mind for weeks and weeks, so I am glad to get it all accomplished.

Got home in time to turn on the baseball game. We lost last night. It's only top of the third inning, and we are ahead 2-0. Nannie woke up for the game. She said "I don't know why I am so sleepy." I told her she most ALWAYS falls asleep again after breakfast, and besides when you are 93, that's one of the things you do--- when your body says 's-l-e-e-p' ....you can't help it, you sleep!

Hubby is in bed again. Not sure of his "condition" at the present time.

It is partly cloudy/sunny and warm, at 84 degrees. There was a prediction yesterday that we would have rain and a possible thunderstorm today, but nothing so far but passing clouds that have dark "bellies".

Last night hubby didn't feel like eating. I gave Nannie a frozen meal that she always likes. I had some smoked salmon and raw asparagus with some Ranch dsg to dip it in. It was gooooood!  Not sure if he will be fixing his own supper, but I hope so. Makes it easier on me! Nannie's easy, because she will eat nearly anything you put in front of her.

All for  now----

Greetings.

Was too tired after my 3rd 12-hour shift to post much.  Not much to say.

Off today and tackled a bunch of housework that's been neglected...cleaned bathrooms, mopped, went to the grocery store, three loads of laundry and meal prepped a couple of things.

Working my regularly scheduled Sunday and we're short staffed.  So unless they found someone I'll be in charge, with 6:1 ratio, with no secretary.  Getting people to work Mother's Day will be impossible so I'm psyched up for a miserable day.  I shouldn't be that way.

Got notice that mom's flowers were delivered today in time for Mother's Day.

Have a great evening and mother's have a good day tomorrow.

Hi. The plant sale I volunteered at went well. It was the first one since COVID restrictions lifted and there was concern it wouldn't be well attended. I left a little early, but they were selling out of many things. I stopped at the pharmacy to pick up meds. I don't like that I have to take them. If they at least helped me feel better instead "reduces your chances" I would feel better about taking them, if that makes any sense. It's getting into the 80s, so I'm going to let it cool off before I go pull weeds.
I sure don't miss the drama around staffing holidays. Why do people go into nursing if they want every holiday off?

I hope Mr. Stars is okay. He does sound like he tunes a tune up.
I like the old classic horror movies, especially anything with Christopher Lee. He was perfect as Sauron.

Annie, I hope you are rested up.

When I was working, I most ALWAYS worked all the Holidays and Week-ends, by choice, and everybody liked me because of that. My favorite days off were weekdays: Mon/Tues, or Weds/Thurs., when 'the masses' of the population were at work and NOT crowding around in my way! I'm kind of like WC Fields (asocial) : "Go away kid, you bother me."

It is almost midnight. I think the Braves lost again to the Blue Jays, but I'm not positive.

Back to reading Alexander McCall Smith's "Espresso Tales". I'll look for some more of his books; he is amusing, and uses words in interesting ways. I am taking a break from all the top authors who write murder mysteries and spy stuff. Once I hook on to an author and read all they've written, I'm like----where's the next book! Bro-in-Law and hubby are both right: my family is made up of Print Junkies, with The Need To Read!

Obviously you don't live in Florida.  I'm off every Monday and Tuesday and am amazed by the number of people out and about and the heavy traffic and I wonder "don't these people work?"  LOL

Yeah, Tweety, Florida is always jam-packed with people, and there are 4-way traffic lights on every block. I have seen some 'seniors' do some very doubtful moves in traffic down there...like there aren't any other cars on  the road!

I have always said the places I would never live are Texas, California, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Florida. (Oh, and North or South Dakota.)
