Good morning!
Joe, hope you have a good day.
I love that lasix works so fast, especially the IV form and a patient is full of fluid. Perhaps subsequent doses for Star's husband won't be so dramatic as the first. I've seen some interesting profiles on some patients that take it PRN for leg swelling. Our pharmacists don't like that order when they are inpatient and a doctor clicks to renew their home meds.
J22, good idea to get a feel for the RV prior to a major trip. Enjoy.
I have to take SloBro to the doggie eye doctor Monday and myself to the dentist Tuesday to get my crown, but otherwise off the next four days.
I'm bummed I bought six sets of scrubs from Amazon and didn't get the tops with a pocket I like on the side. I kept trying to put things in it. Since I opened the package and rinsed and dried them once I'm just going to deal. Maybe if I rotate their use and they all age at the same time, I won't have to buy any more scrubs.
We got a serious thunderstorm through the night last night that woke me up. We need the rain. Was able to fall back asleep.
Warm and clouding up, supposed to have rain this evening. I wish y'all could have seen the big happy hullaballoo the weathermen had yesterday between 6 and 6:45 PM last night, showing us the radar patterns. They were so excited and THOROUGH, they knew all the neighborhood areas, streets names, their high-tech-toys were keeping them constantly updated. It was really something to see and listen to. They are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their subject matter...but in some cases, like about weather where WE are living ... wrong. However, we have seen a lot of nearby places on TV where there was a LOT of damage in the form of fallen trees, accumulations of hail, dented cars, flooding, downed power lines. I'm not complaining about all of that missing us!
Weather forecasting is a thankless job; there was a long-time weatherman up in Asheville who used to get SO irritated by people calling him about the predictions being wrong ...or right! It is pretty difficult to predict correctly up in the mountains. In both Asheville and here, we have managed to live, essentially, under a bell-jar, protecting us from the worst weather. But I always enjoy telling that in 1988, the weatherman LIED TO ME 17 days in a row! Somewhere, lost in my stuff not seen since packing it to move, there is a small Hallmark calendar booklet in which that wrong weather was noted by me in 1988, day-by-day as it occurred.
Nannie could be a weather person: "Gosh, that sun is BRIGHT!" ?--- "It's starting to cloud up." ?--- "The wind is hardly moving the leaves at all." ?--- It's started to rain." ?--- "Now the rain has quit." ?---"But it's starting to get dark." -?-- "Pretty soon it will be time to close the drapes." --- ?"Look, now the sun is out again." ?
The tedium, oh the tedium!
Tweety, your dog has an appt on Monday, you have an appt on Tuesday, *I* have an appt on Wednesday, and hubby has an appt on Thursday. Anybody on this thread have an appt for Friday? I know it doesn't mean anything, and it is just a pattern of trivial bits of semi-synchronous nothing, but I kinda like odd things like that. Silly and useless 'information'. Huh!
What can I say? I am easily entertained.
I think we might all agree at this point that I have not very much to write about. Should this change in the next little while, I'll come back and let ya know.
We are having a decent time camping, except that youngest ds and I are struggling to keep dh from driving home “just to grab something “ and or going to one of his stores to get his mom a Mother’s Day gift. I am trying to get him to just take a flipping off and be away from his TV! We were going to go mini golfing but they are still closed for Winter. We did go by a candy shop where the guys got ice cream. Now they are snoozing and I am reading. Weather is partly sunny. Forecast says rain showers but haven’t seen any.
for what it’s worth, I have a cardiology appointment on Friday.

Tweety that was nice that you helped that coworker
NJ22 do you have a tent or an RV?
Work was fairly quiet yesterday, offered to help some coworkers but they were OK
Quiet night too, exercised and relaxed. Talked to J, he's feeling better but still is kinda tired
Today will be busy. Taking the car in for maintenance and getting a rental. Then will do my usual bird watching and lunch with dad. Have a church service this afternoon to welcome our new minister, although he's already been here several months
Tonight Svengoolie has House of Wax with Vincent Price, which is pretty good
Will be in the upper 50s today, might get up to 80 by tomorrow
