Sunny right now, but it is supposed to rain and maybe thunder in a while. Going to get up to 80 degrees.
Got up and found Nannie up in her recliner, sleeping. Don't know how long she's been there, but it doesn't really matter. She had her meds and breakfast, and I got her dressed with a jersey and a jacket over it that she just loves buttoning and unbuttoning over and over and over and OVER again! And bless us all, she also is fiddling with the sleeves. This poor woman can NOT stop making adjustments to ANYTHING. I am too sleepy to warrant taking a 1/2 Xanax this early, so I will try to ignore her fussing with her clothing.
She still doesn't understand why she is coughing, but it is not quite as bad as it was. Last night when I handed her the med cup with cough syrup, she swished it around in her mouth and was about to spit it back in the med cup, but I caught her in time and made her swallow it. 🙄
SiL just arrived....
SiL said she came to give Nannie a shower and do her hair. She said she could cut my hair, too. I shrugged and said I needed to go out to the store, and I'd try to be quick, because she is SOOOO fast with Nannie's shower and the hair thing.
When I got back she was on the phone and I heard her say that I just got back and she'd be home in a little while. When she came up to the kitchen where I was offloading groceries, she said she could do my hair now. I told her no, let's do it another time. She said she could do it, and I said, "No, not now," (making it seem like *I* was the one 'too busy'.) She said they were going to go to the street fair or sale or something up in town. I didn't say that the very last thing I wanted was to have her hurry through my haircut. But, that's the way I feel! I'd rather cut it myself!
Got the stuff out of my car just as it started pouring buckets, I'll let my car sit out in front so the rain can do a bit of rinsing the pollen off the car.
My gawd, it is already 3 PM! I do not have any itinerary so I dunno what will occupy the rest of my afternoon. Maybe I'll be reading the news on-line and scratching Momo. Nannie is dozing a little, in between her adjusting her sleeves and buttons, and talking a mile a minute in her sleep. In six or seven hours I will be putting her to bed!😁
Hello all!
No Stars, good that Nannie's cold is improving. I hope the rest of the day was uneventful.
Joe, nice you got to try a new (and good!) restaurant, and attend the art museum. Wildlife photos are always a plus!
Tweety, how was the comedy? Is Waffles back to normal eating routine?
We just got home from the bluegrass jam. We arrived at noon, were jamming by 12:30, broke at 4 to eat, jammed again until things broke up around 6:30. It was getting cool and breezy outside; we were jamming in an outdoor patio which was not bad as long as the wind wasn't blowing through it! Re-connected with lots of ppl, and the jam was good. I brought home most of the food I'd brought for the potluck -- which is OK, we will eat it in the next few days. It's mainly finger food. And I am ready to rest at home!
Tomorrow afternoon we help with a hymn sing up at Oak Glen. We may see some rain tomorrow -- snow in the mountains.
Have a good evening!

Stars glad you're feeling better
NJ22 hope the heel pain eases up
Dianah I went to a cat cafe once with the over 50 group
Getting ready to check out and head home. The trip has been a mixed bag. The drive down was more tiring than I expected. And overall Madison doesn't have that special feel that it used to. And I didn't see any cranes (again)
However went to a great new restaurant, stopped at the art museum there for the first time. And got a few good wildlife pics
Not sure if I'll return or when. If I do I think I'll try to do almost all new things, instead of mostly the same stufd as usual
Going to pick up a toy for the cat and a scone from a local coffeehouse before leaving. Once home I'll do some grocery shopping as well as bake some muffins
Svengoolie has Mysterious Island which I'll take a loom at
Think it will be in the upper 50s today
