Was a better day at work yesterday, a little crazy in the morning but settled down by the afternoon.  Had time at the end of the day to help others

Rest of the day was pretty quiet, exercised and ran an errand and made a reservation for a rental car next Tues so I can grocery shop and attend book club while my car is in the body shop

Slept better last night than the previous night, which was helpful.  Today going to the Arboretum, then will stop briefly at the farmer's market before meeting dad for lunch.  Will do some cleaning later and will likely bake cookies as well

Svengoolie has The Monolith Monsters, which isn't bad just kind of slow

Will be cooler today, upper 70s with rain expected in the afternoon

I got up early and trimmed my bangs, took a shower, gathered dirty laundry. Got Nannie up and fortunately she had kept all her pee on the underpads and none on the top bedding. Then I got her dressed and out to her chair, and when I was giving her the meds and cran juice, the tray tipped and all the chocolate BOOST went into her lap and down to her seat. EGADS! Soooooo, then I had to get her up, strip off the pull-ups/pants, wash down where the chocolate spilled, put on new pull-ups (glad the inner pads didn't have to be changed) put a fresh underpad on the chair seat, and put another pair of pants on her.

WHEW! Now I have already used up a lot of my energy! But I have to go put her stuff in the laundry and then do my laundry and wash some dishes. (Cinderella? No, I have no  Prince to come and rescue me!)

It's going to be 90 degrees and sunny today. Don't plan on going out any further than the mailbox at the end of the driveway. 

Well, I might as well go ahead and start the laundry and cleaning up the messes I made in my room, my bathroom, her room, etc., etc., etc.

I am remembering a sign I had up on a bulletin board somewhere: "IF YOU EAT A FROG FIRST THING IN THE MORNING, NOTHING WORSE WILL HAPPEN THE REST OF THE DAY. "   (let us pray that this will be so.) I consider all the stuff that happened after I put my feet on the floor this morning to be equal to eating a frog!

Aaaaannnnd, I got the mail out of our mailbox, and found the DMV sent me back the check and did not send me my plate sticker BECAUSE *I* forgot to get the car inspected first. I don't want to say 'what else can happen?' because I DON'T want to know!

That' sucks Stars.  It's always something.

Worked the floor today with 6:1 and it was crazy busy.  Send a guy to ICU on a bipap.  Just couldn't keep his oxygen levels up.  Plus he was confused and restless.  Glad he's in a place that's safe.

Back for fun tomorrow but I'm in charge.  Bleh

Sorry, Stars!  What kind of an inspection is needed?  Here in California "they" require an inspection of the car's smog devices, to ensure we are not polluting the air TOO much. 

Tweety, hope work goes smoothly for your next shift (Sunday).

We had a good practice with The Big Group, and did our little hymn sing-along last night.  It went well, the retirement community attended and sang well! 

Summer is ramping up, temps hovering in the 90's now, and feels more humid than usual -- sticky. 

I will continue on the Sunday thread!
