Hi Tweety

Happy anniversary Ado

NJ22 that was nice of him to make dinner

Stars the  weekend did seem to come up quick

Was relieved that work didn't prove to be as bad as I had expected.  The people I  was covering I didn't have to do much for.  Towards the end of the day I volunteered to help some others.  Did end up leaving a bit late...one of the people I was helping  had a patient who spoke a rare language, Quiche, and it took a while to find  an interpreter to  complete the  assessment

And I have Monday off so three days off for me

Was pleased to find after a week my anxiety is under much better control.  Not  perfect, but a big improvement  even compared with last week.   I'm hoping  that it will improve further with practice

J wasn't feeling well so we didn't get  together last night.   We'll meet Sun instead. Turns out he forgot his evening meds on Thurs, which is the most likely explanation.

Not sure going to  bed earlier  is  working, woke up an hour before the alarm and  not sure if I fell back to sleep.  We'll try it a bit longer then might go back to my usual  bed time

Going to do bird watching today if I can get out ahead of the rain.  Will meet dad for lunch and might do some baking  as well

Svengoolie has How to Make a Monster, which I've seen before and is kinda dull

Will be in  the upper 80s today

Here I am, all showered, shampooed, combed and dried, bright and shiny! YAY!

Hubby asked if I had a "Get Well Soon Card". At the Subway he goes to, to have Nannie's Lunchtime sub sandwich made, they are so familiar with him that the minute he opens the door, they start making Nannie's favorite sandwich. There's a mother and son who work there. The mother strained her back yesterday, so she wasn't at work today. Hubby brought her son the card to take home to her. He had signed it: "Six-inch Italian Herb and Cheese with Steak and Provolone, spinach, tomato, black olives and mayonnaise." Even if she doesn't remember his name, she knows who gets that sandwich EVERY time!?

Another day, more laundry...3 loads this time. (Glad we don't use scrubbing boards in a pail of water anymore!)

Braves lost the ballgame last night; there's another one on tonight at 7:15 PM. I don't know what Nannie and hubby would do without me; every morning when I get up, that's the first thing they ask about: "Is there a game tonight?"

Not sure if we will get any rain tonight, we sure do need it. It would help wring the humidity out of the air. It's been hot, but not as hot as at the beginning of the week.

Supposed to renew my driver's license in July; I'd REALLY like to get another picture taken, since the one I have is 5 years old and I don't look the same (I hope!). My current photo makes me look kind of pie-eyed and a bit drunk, and my smile looks more like a smirk. OH WELL, I don't suppose it matters, but I sure would like a new one. We'll see.

Time to switch out the loads: wash to dryer, more dirty laundry to the washer.

dianah, was it you who asked me a week or two ago if The Outlander book was fairly like the streaming show on TV? My (belated) answer is, UH, I don't know. I won't watch it on the screen because I have my own images of the characters, etc. But, in the aspect you asked me about, Claire removing the girls' tonsils? Yes. Claire was a doctor in "her time" ( ie the mid-1960's, the time she left when she 'went through the stones' and landed in the 1700's) so she could do stuff like make her own ether. She also had an extensive knowledge of herbs, etc. Her daughter was an electrical engineer, smart as could be, and 'invented' things that were available in the 1960's to serve as OR appliances, etc. She made syringes, though it was quite different from the one's of the 60's (naturally), and other stuff not thought of in the 1700's.

I am almost through with the last (8th) book and it makes me sad. I will miss the characters and events I have spent time with every night before I go to sleep, for about two hours, for the last couple of months. I was immersed in another world and time!

All for now----

Howdy.   My phone has been saying "No SIM card all day needing frequent reboots.  Annoying.

Giving the dig I'm sitting her antibiotics was torture.  She screamed and fussed and bit like I was torturing her.  Very dramatic    She drew blood on two of my fingers and I best not get infected.  Not sure what to do but I won't be going through that.

Work is hell.  They floated a tech that had a "family emergency" right after she got here and 6:1 ratio.

Tweety,

Bite back! No, I know you can't and wouldn't, because then you might really get an infection! ICK! I assume you are up to date on your tetorifice shots?

I had the temple-side of my hair suddenly yanked extremely hard and continuously by a patient (my first job as a CNA, before nsg school), and it took 3 co-workers to get her hand out of my hair. Fortunately, I abstained from hitting her, but you better believe I never bent over closer to her ever, ever again!

Joe, I hope you got somebirdwatching in.

Stars, that was a thoughtful and fun thing your dh did. I was the one asking about Outlander. Yes, the daughter created a syringe in one of these episodes using a snake's fang.

Tweety, what form of antibiotics? Pills? My dogs can avoid a pill hidden in food quite expertly. I don't know what to suggest. Hope you don't get an infection . I've twice had infected cat bites that just needed oral antibiotics.

Hubs and I did go to dinner this evening. I had a lemon drop martini and it was light and sweet. I really liked it. We drove by the stadium and Hubs took a picture of Baker Mayfield's Heisman statue. It was 104 degrees.

The booster shot made me feverish through the night last night. The first 2 did that but I had very little reaction to the first booster so I expected this one to be easy, too.

I breezed right through three Pfizer vaccines, but the shingles gave me chills and fever through the night but resolved the next day.  Better than having shingles.  My mom had them and was miserable.

Coincidentally I did get my tetorifice a few months ago.  Dog has a tooth abscess which is why she's getting the antibiotics, so her bitting me is a bit concerning.  I'll watch and wait.

My fingers are sore but no signs of infection or cellulitis yet.  I just wasn't expecting the dog to be that vicious.   My brother in law gave her he dose before he left and she fussed but wasn't vicious.  It's clindamycin liquid and he squired into her mouth.  I'm not doing that again.  I just put it in her food and she seemed to eat it.  If that's wrong, too bad.  She gets an eye ointment but that's when I got the 2nd bite and she's just going to have to do without.  I feel bad for her going through that but I'm not getting bit again either.
