Hi Tweety and Stars

NJ22 I don't if I've every had marionberry

Dianah I have heard the flooding in Texas is pretty bad

Yesterday was fairly quiet.  Did bird watching in the morning, avoided the rain.  Then made some chocolate chip bar cookies for the potluck next week.  Searched online for any July 4th related movies, Lincoln was one that was recommended.  Hadn't seen it in a long time, watched it again, it was pretty good.  I'm finding that while I like some time to relax I also like to stay busy.  Rest of the day was quiet

Today will be the usual bird watching and lunch with dad.  Will be at the Arboretum, will see if they have any puzzles at their gift shop.  Should be a pretty ordinary Saturday

Svengoolie has The Return of the Vampire, which I've seen before

Will be hot today, mid 90s

Good evening!

Hi Joe, hope you had a good day.

Was able to leave work on time for a change.  Part of the reason is there wasn't a charge nurse on nights to give report to and that saved me a lot of time.  It also means I won't get report in the morning and know what is going on but I usually can figure it out and ask the nurses for an update.

Neighbors were having a party but thankfully it seems like they turned down the music because they are a corner house with their back yard right next to my bedroom.  Hopefully no fireworks when the sun goes down.

Have a great evening.

Hi. I feel like there were fewer bangs and pops of fireworks last night than in the past. The dogs were not bothered to much, except for the big booming ones, that made us humans jump.

I went to breakfast with ds, but drove home so that dh and I could leave to volunteer at a different demo garden. We weeded for about 2 hours, then I took my car over to the car wash, then stopped for an overpriced coffee at Buckys (Starbucks). We then stopped at another demo garden that is at a historic home owned by the the county parks department. dh is part of an education committee and he is familiarizing himself with each of 4 gardens. There is one more at the hospital, but someone else on his committee volunteers there, so he did not feel the need to see it for now.

Came home for a sandwich for lunch, then a little gardening at home. I can tell you I am really tired of weeds. I should do more, but my hands are sore from grasping. dh is now watching christmas movies on the Hallmark channel, LOL. I guess the baseball game is over.

Joe, marionberries are a type of blackberry. Juicier than the weedy berries that grow around here.

Tomorrow will make a run to the store for trail mix. Youngest ds and I are going hiking at Mt. Rainier on Monday and Tuesday. We will be staying at the lodge. I hope enough snow has melted to open up the trail we want to do.

Here is picture of one of the roses from the garden I volunteer at.
