Some more computer problems at work, and a new case, but neither proved troublesome and I didn't get as upset as I did the previous day.  Perhaps I'm starting to learn how to manage work related anxiety better

After work had the potluck, was surprised by a pretty big turnout, despite being Valentine's Day and some snow.  My friend B was there, and got the chance to talk to some new people as well as those I already knew.  

Today will skip bird watching and bake some blueberry muffins instead and work on a CEU.  Will meet dad for lunch as usual.  The Svengoolie movie looks dull so will watch Danny Kaye in Hans Christian Anderson instead.  Have recently begun watching old movies and have been very impressed by Kaye

Will be a little warmer today, in the mid 30s, with some more snow in the afternoon

I loved Danny Kaye. 

My blisters are from friction, not heat. 

Hubs picked me up from the airport (we were delayed about a half hour) and we picked up food from a local diner. That was our Valentine's Day celebration. Twin B brought home chocolate bars from the hospital this morning. I guess they someone had put them out for staff.

40 degrees and raining. Nannie is not napping. My horror-scope says to make friends leave me alone for a while so I can apply myself to, essentially, cleaning up my home. Can I say, "It's not MY home!". Sure, but a lot of the mess is mine because I don't have to time to go at it. And the way I work best is ....ALONE! And that's why this house is in a jumble, because I have to babysit Nannie ALLLLLL the time! So I just throw stuff down and go on; then a few weeks later I get some time to myself, but not really to myself. I have to 'catch up" with all the things that need doing. We have all seen and heard this from me ad infinitum. My value is in keeping Nannie 'occupied' and safe, keeping an eye on her, so no one else in the family has to deal with her. I am, essentially Nannie's nanny, au pair. That's why SiL always says to me, when I bemoan how the house never looks tidy  "Don't worry about it; you do plenty as it is." That's a fact! But none of it has much to do with MY life.

Hey, whaddya know, Momo didn't wake me up at all last night! That's good news!

Welp, there are dishes to wash, laundry to wash, and trash to dispose of....So,  I will 'hush my puppies".🤐

40 and raining, here, too. Not much going on. I had a plan to pull out stuff to donate and or trash, but Dh hung around the house, and he gets upset when I toss things. My kids have left a lot of old text books here and I just want to trash them, along with some cookbooks. Dh is convinced someone will want them. 
 

I did pull some old storage containers out, and tossed the ones that were stained or were missing lids.  
Dh brought home some cut daffodils. They are my second favorite flower.

We have snow! Just a dusting but I was surprised. I am about to finish a book that is this month's book club selection and has been looong.
