Good morning!
Ado, hope you feel better.
Joe, have a good weekend. Dentist on a Sunday?
Got off late last night. Apparently the administrator forgot to tell another floor to float us a nurse and when they told her 20 minutes into her shift, she refused and walked out of the building. So the night charge nurse had to take a full assignment. Maybe had a change of heart because someone came at 8:30. The nurse that came, I'm not sure is the same nurse that refused said she's a week off of orientation and isn't supposed to float yet. Honestly administration treats us like cattle sometimes and a body, not realizing there are people with feelings under tremendous stress.
We are having pretty seasonable weather, in the upper 60's, maybe slightly below normal.
Going to a little theater matinee today. Can't remember the name but it's a "musical farce" I think.
Made myself go to the urgent care in the evening. Got a shot of phenergan that at least let me sleep through the night. And the maalox-and-lidocaine cocktail. Still mildly feverish and nauseated. Meanwhile, an ER nurse called in and there is much scrambling to keep things staffed for tonight.
Twin B got called in to work last night. At least he is feeling better.
Ado, maybe you've got the norovirus that is going around all over the place? They said on the news it is traveling everywhere.
SiL came over today at 1 PM. Nannie spent the whole night in her recliner, so she got her up and did the shower and hair routine. Then she decided to do some cleaning here in the den....she dusted, vacuumed, washed the floor, rearranged furniture, and took down the photos on the walls. She moved a glass-front cabinet and put many of the photos on the shelves in it. I mean, she worked 4 hours in here! It looks GREAT!
But, Nannie, having spent all night in the recliner and having NO nap-time this afternoon was very cross by the time SiL left. She was staring at the floor with a scowl on her face. I tried to engage her in a little small talk, asking if she liked what SiL had done in here, and she curled her lip and said, "I don't even know what she's done." I asked her if I could do something to help make her feel better, and she said she was just trying to figure out how to get out of here. She got the chairs remote control and I asked her if I could help her go to the bathroom. No. But she did take her walker over to her bedroom door, so I asked her if she'd like to rest in bed a while. She didn't answer me, but went right to her bed. I went up to get her suppertime meds, so, even though she said she didn't want to eat yet; I figured the meds can't hurt.
But five minutes later she came out and said there are too many people in her bedroom and in her bed (!) , so she couldn't relax. She keeps two pillows lined up on the side of the bed she doesn't sleep on, so I guess that makes her think there's someone else in bed with her. I've got the TV on, maybe the news will distract her (or not!) from her MOOD.
I hope she'll eat something in a little while, and maybe that will soothe the savage beast inside her. I'm not letting her stay up in the recliner all night tonight. I haven't seen her be this cross since she had an argument with my hubby last Summer! I hate it when she gets like this.
Stars, it just might be that norovirus. I feel like I never go anywhere but the hospital (!) and home so who knows where I came in contact with that. I did go to choir practice Wed night and shook hands with the new choir director, who does have an 8-mo-old baby. ?Anyway, I'm starting to feel much more human. The NP made me laugh because she said there's a big shortage of viscous lidocaine (for the GI cocktail) and while I could buy orajel, it's expensive, and another source would be an adult toy store. Who knew? (Probably everyone but me).
I was here yesterday when the poor aide came to give Gma a bath. Maybe Hubs should break out the haldol when he's expecting someone like that.

Happy birthday NJ22
Stars I wish it was that warm here
Hi Dianah and NJ22
Ado I hope you feel better
Work was fairly busy in the morning, although things slowed down by the afternoon. Think I'm getting adjusted to the changes
After work was fairly quiet. Just exercised, worked on dating apps, and then relaxed with a chocolate martini, which I think I like better than white Russians
Noticed my sleep is still a bit off, although improving, at least now when I wake up an hour early I fall back to sleep
Nothing planned this morning, so planning to get some grocery shopping done, as well as stop at Goodwill and the credit union. Then I have a dentist appointment, and lunch with dad as usual. Svengoolie has How to Make a Monster, which is kind of dull, so I'm going to watch Carmen instead
Snowed last night, will be much colder today, in the upper 30s today, although will be in the upper 50s by tomorrow
