Tweety glad work was OK

Ado glad the comedy club was good

Hi Dianah

Stars hope you can get a good deal on the tires

Work was crazy yesterday, in addition to the cases I got from the person who was leaving, I got a new case. And then in the afternoon a lot of frantic calls when it appeared someone would discharge without HH, thankfully just a miscommunication.  Started early and left a bit late, but at least everything got done

Cold symptoms finally went away. so in the evening went to the Arboretum which was having an event with chocolate vendors.  Bought some red velvet cherries and cinnamon toast toffee, along with a fancy hot chocolate mix.  Limited what I bought as it was all pretty expensive

Today will try and get outside this morning, don't expect to see many birds and with all the rain yesterday the trails may be too muddy.  After that the cat has her regular vet appointment, then lunch with dad

Will be cooler today, in the mid 30s.  Svengoolie has 20 Million Miles to Earth which I'll skip as I've already seen it more than once

I woke up at what I thought was 5 minutes past 10 AM. Oops. Turns out it was 10minutes to 1 PM. So I have to go get the Nannie-person up and dressed, fed and medicated. THEN I have GOT TO take a shower and shampoo my gross hair!

Momo is barking, so I guess that means Nannie just got up, my cue to change gears now. Nannie made Momo get me up at 4 AM, as once again she went to sit in the dark, in the den. At least she didn't fall this time! But, onward with the day....

I am finally CLEAN and dry and dressed, and I trimmed some of my hair because I am tired of waiting for SiL to come over and cut it for me. The bangs needed to stop hanging in my eyes and tickling/irritating my eyelids, so I took care of them. I also did a Mani/Pedi and a facial; my goodness I am *sparkling* 😁 ✴️ 🙃 WHAT A RELIEF!

Nannie slept through all of the above activities. Later on, BiL came over with my new-used bookshelf he painted for me, and my end of the month check. When I had come back downstairs, alas, Nannie was awake. Soooooo, I have turned on the reruns of the reruns of My Lottery Dream Home. When I muted the TV because a commercial came on, Nannie told me,  "That woman" (who I did not see) "had pants all the way up and down!" and gestured at her own entire body head-to-toe. All I could say was, "Huh; I missed it." And then she opined that the people in the Nutrifol  (sp?) [hair stuff] advertisement "talk too much." But, no, I did not say, "You do the same!"

The sun is shining. I don't think it is chilly out there, but it may be in an hour or so, as the sun is slowly sinking in the West.

I have another load of laundry going, Golly-gee-whiz,  I just LOOOOOOVE doing laundry, doncha know! Only just have a few things in the sink to wash, so I may leave it until later or tomorrow.

OH! BiL told me that SiL had told him to tell me that tomorrow after church, she will come over and bath/dress Nannie and take her to their house for the afternoon. (Oooh, another 4 + 1/2 hours off for me.) I will probably get a plate of home-made supper, with salad,  from what they ate for their supper, when they bring Nannie back.

I must say I am PLEASED AS PUNCH that I am maintaining my weight, on my 'grazing' and 'nibbling' way of eating. I think my body is happy with these habits; I do get my veggies and fruit and proteins. Sometimes I do eat an 'entire' meal, other times I skip one, but not at all to the point of starving myself. It's nice to be freed of eating like Nannie does (or like hubby did), and following my own instincts. I'm not big on having rolls or biscuits with every meal unless they are part of the (loosely termed) recipes. I also don't care for eating a dessert right after I eat supper......never have, even as a kid!! I really do  prefer to have dessert at another time.

Blah-dee-blah-blah, etc!

Good evening.

I was in charge today and it was okay was able to be a "free charge" so got a lot done.  Had about ten discharges but only four admissions.  Night shift is probably going to be a bunch of admissions.

Slowbro who is too frail to jump out of bed jumped out in the middle of the night and apparently two more times this morning after I went to work according to best friend.  Might have to just keep him on the floor but I know he'll just wonder about and I won't be able to sleep knowing he's out and about.  He has a golf ball sized hematoma on his back at the base of his tail but doesn't seem to be painful.

Snowy day, but much has melted. Forecast for more tonight and tomorrow. My jog/walk happened before the snow. I saw lots of happy dogs running about in the off-leash park. A corgi was dancing in the giant puddle that appears each Winter, belly deep. I did not realize corgis would like water, but this one looked joyful. Lots of ducks today, perhaps hunting season has ended. A few gulls, but thats about it for birds.

I am making braised short ribs for dinner, but got a late start. Oh well, thems the breaks. I read most of the day, trying to finish a novel set in post WWII Norway, during the Nazi trials.

Tweety, when our old Boston Terrier got to the point where he struggled to get on and off the bed, we bought him steps, that he refused to go near. The two we have now use them exclusively, although I know they can easily hop up and down if need be.

Poor ol' Slowbro!  It really almost made me cry to read about his latest problem.
