Well, for those of you waiting with bated (baited?) breath, I DID do all the shredding, and I also changed the sheets on the bed! The clean clothes are folded and piled on the bed so I will HAVE TO put them up before I can crawl in and go to sleep.
Tomorrow is vacuuming day, or at least it ought to be!
Ballgame is on in about 20 minutes or so.
Hi, posting from phone, so more than the usual typos. Pleasant, relaxed day at a county campground near a lake. Been sitting and reading, others napping.
Blueberry muffins sound good.
I am enjoying that there is no TV. I enjoy watching sports but there is something about listening to the announcers that is so irritating. I am reading an e-book that is funny and irreverent about politics.
dh says he is leaving out camp trip early tomorrow to go back to work, and he flies out Monday am for 2 weeks for work. I will join him next Thursday in Las Vegas.
no rain predicted here for the foreseeable future, but at least it’s not so bloody hot and humid.
Good evening!
Got some good rain this evening which cooled us down some from the usual heat and humidity.
Enjoy yourself J22.
So the tech that floated from our sister unit came in and found out she was floating, and decided there was a "family emergency" and had to leave. This is twice she did this. Nothing will happen. I was furious at the immorality of someone that would do this twice. I had 6:1 ratio with no tech and a patient that wasn't doing too good. Got him to the unit, after the rapid nurse was able to come help me.
I had a sinking feeling that I've wasted 30 years of my life in med surg. I know it won't get better but why did I do this to myself. No advice needed, just venting.
My mother is in the hospital with CHF. My sister is there.
That’s outrageous about that tech, Tweety. I would notify her manager, nonetheless. And include the part about how it affected patient care. I’m sorry about your mom. CHF can be sneaky, but hopefully she can get help for that.
And you haven’t wasted your time. You’ve touched a lot of lives and trained a lot of new nurses.

Tweety I'm assuming it was steak substitute?
NJ22 there's fairly little argument with this group, the process just seems tedious to me
Stars I bet you will be relieved when the appointment finally comes
Ado we're having rain here too, though it looks like it's stopping
Work was good yesterday, quiet and nothing unexpected. J's still having bad allergies, so we didn't meet last night, will try again Sunday. Has been 3 weeks since we've met, although I remember this happened last year too around this same time
Work was slow enough that I was able to renew my MI license. Need one more CEU then I can renew my MA license later in the fall
Afterwards rode my bike to the library and watched Star Trek. Made me think of Herring, wonder how she's doing
Will do some bird watching this morning, going to a new spot that someone from church recommended, not as far as some of my usual places. Will make some blueberry muffins for coffee hour tomorrow. Then lunch with dad as usual
Svengoolie has The Land Beyond, which I remember as being dull, might skip it
Going to be in the upper 70s today, which will be nice, although rain will return this afternoon
