Tweety too bad about the recipe, I've had coconut curry before and that recipe turned out fine

Dianah hope you had a good time with the band

Stars hope the hot humid weather eases up

NJ22 hope the rest of your journey proves easier

Was another pretty good day at work yesterday, nothing unusual going on.

Same thing after work, went to the store and got my hair cut.  All pretty ordinary

Sleep wasn't good last night, which was unusual, but what was really odd was that I had a bad dream, which almost never happens.  Dreamed I was driving and some kids were crossing the road and I couldn't stop in time.

Not sure what triggered that.  The cat woke me up with her vomiting again, and perhaps the irritation affected my sleep or caused the bad dream. Or maybe it was the cocktail last night, which hit me much harder than normal.  Probably because I'm dieting, the less I eat the harder alcohol hits me

Today will be an ordinary day. Bird watching in the morning, will stop at the store and have lunch with dad, then will do some baking in the evening.  Will be the only normal weekend this month

Will be pretty warm today, will get up to about 90, thankfully no rain

Hello all!

Thanks Joe, it was a nice afternoon yesterday, good to be with our fiddler and do some music.  It was Day One of a three-day Old West Days, and as it was Friday, was sparsely-attended, but still fun.  They had several vendors, and an old west encampment, and a farrier set-up (could hear him pounding on the anvil), and a tea room in a tent, and a poker tent (they played and also had a storytime), and a tent with a General Store.  It was around 88 degrees, with higher humidity (I heard there were thunderstorms in the higher mountain elevations).  We played from 2 to 3:30, then went for an early dinner to the Greek restaurant.  So, yeah, we were tired when we got home around 7:30.  Slept pretty well last night, after a nice shower.

We will watch Zoom Sabbath School soon, then have some lunch.  Other than that, we have no plans for the weekend!

Have a good day!

H'lo to one and all~

A while ago, when I came downstairs, there was Nannie, standing in the bathroom looking at some wet pj bottoms. She was wet, so I had to have her sit on the toilet for a quick wash and change. Started a laundry, but at least it didn't include any wet bedding today!

Have to start the day with a gripe: you know on a set of blinds how there is a little wand hanging down, with which you can open and close the slats? That's one of the first things Nannie had to call my attention to, which she has been obsessing over for  more than 3 weeks! Don't understand why, though. When I tell her what it is for, she says she knows. So WHY does she have to keep bringing it up? It's part of the blinds and it's going to stay there whether it bothers her or not, so there is no need to keep 'discussing' it! It drives me nutty when she points up at it and says something about it hanging down. Yeah, it hangs down, because that is its JOB. ( 🤨  Geeeeze! ) If she didn't have to point it out fifty-umpteen times a day, I wouldn't be so irritated! Not much fun having dementia, I am sure, but mah gawd how many times do we have to go through this "See that thing hanging down up there?" AaaaRGH!

Just a second ago I asked her why she was frowning, and she said, "I hear something." Yeah, it is the good ol' washing machine doin' its thing! She has her hands folded in her lap and her eyes have closed, though she isn't asleep yet. If I put a small pillow behind her neck and a light blanket  over her, maybe she will get comfy and keep going to the Land of Nod.....so, that's exactly what I am going to do. Aaaannnnnd, I have done it and it has made her smile and thank me. (How nefarious of me! 😜)

And so it goes.....

Okay, so I am waiting for the laundry to cycle through, but really I am waiting for Nannie to doze off

So, other than that, another hot day, but not quite as hot as yesterday. It is predicted to rain at 2 PM (in ten minutes!) and again at 7 and 8 PM.

It never rained at 2 PM, and now it is 4:15 PM and some thunderation has begun, but no rain yet. But, WOW, the WIND! Oh my, it is tossing the trees around like crazy, so maybe it will begin to rain shortly.

Since Nannie fell asleep, I made my bed, emptied ALL the wastebaskets, washed the dishes, started MY laundry, cleaned my bathroom's counter, sink, and 'terlet' (as Archie Bunker sez.)  I also filled my mediset, after cussing myself out for NOT doing it for at least the past month or so!  I can't seem to remember sometimes if I took my AM pills or not, and that is NOT a good thing to forget!

In a minute when my brief break is over,  I will go back upstairs and putter around. Want to clear off the large mirrored dresser, take out the drawers, and move it 90 degrees onto the other wall, then EVENTUALLY (within the next few days) I want to move my desk to the wall where the dresser is, so I can put a small table and the rocker by the window so I am looking out at the woods instead of the neighbor's chicken coop.

I just love it when Nannie does this heavy napping in her recliner! It releases me from guard-duty so I can get some things done without having to worry about her getting up.

G'day.

I oriented a coworker to charge today so it wasn't a bad day.  Low census so a nurse got to go home at around 4 pm early as did the secretary.  I left at a decent time for a change.
