Good morning!
Fed Waffles at 5:45 AM and we went back to bed for another couple of hours. She's still in bed.
Seems the dorm refrigerator is still working. Not sure why it was off. It's old but hopefully will work through the coming weeks so we can at least keep a few things of yogurt and other things fresh. It it what it is.
Going to see the musical "Hair" but on in one of the parks here this evening. They have an outdoor production annually which is quite popular. I've been many times over the years but not since before covid.
Should be nice weather for the play. Supposed to hit 84 and sunny,
Have a great day.
Gouda Morning~
I have been awake for an hour or so, and am contemplating the push and pull of more sleep vs getting up and doing things that need doing. It took me about 2 hours to unwind from my day, after Nannie was put to bed.
I sent a text to SiL about the Nannie-person's 'surprise' sunflower seed size BM that was soooo urgent to her to get to the bathroom for. An hour or so after I sent it, she called ma and said "What's going on?" I said there was nothing 'going on', and did she read my text? She hadn't. Guess she was expecting some venting and didn't really want to hear it. I told her the text was something she might find funny, and I thought it would make her smile, that's all.
I know BiL and SiL are both wrangling with health insurance problems, so maybe that has affected them by making them irritated by the way they have to go at health insurance and keep bumping their heads against a brick wall while trying to find a happier medium of satisfactory coverage.
It is 10 AM, and I guess I'll get dressed and putter around in my room by gathering and sorting the papers that have been (once again) accumulating. I figure if I sort them into piles I can decide what to ditch and what/where to keep the rest of it. Kind of like an attempt at PRE-cleaning organization?
Anyway, I hope and pray to get through the weekend in a relatively sane manner, and with a calmer approach to this life, and action that accomplishes things without stressing me or wearing me out. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK??? 🤔 Geesh!
🌹Pin a rose on my nose!👃
I spent two hours working in my room......gathering the papers into two different boxes: one of 'business' stuff, and one of clippings of things from various magazines that I found funny or useful, or want to send to my sister. Also a box of hardware-type things (hammer, nails. screw drivers, etc.) And some knick-knacks (that have yet to find a place for so they will probably be kept stored in a box), plus books and clothes and doo-dads and what-nots to donate to the battered women's shelter's store. I also put away 2 baskets of clean folded clothes and hung up more of the same to put in the closets. That's plural closets, because the one in my 'old' room gets to hold all the Winter stuff.....most of which I have not had to use, as it has been an extremely warm Winter. But I don't want to toss or donate the Winter stuff yet, JUST-IN-CASE. Maybe we'll get a snowstorm (HAH!) at the end of April; we actually did one year and it was 18 inches! Anyway....
I came downstairs to get a cold drink and saw Nannie sitting in her recliner. I gave her meds and breakfast to her and now I have to get her dressed for the day.
-----------INTERMISSION-------------🍿🥤---------
She's now dressed in the same things as she wore yesterday; she didn't get them dirty and she was so very happy about the matchy-matchy maroon mock turtleneck and an over-jersey of the same color (with a white, lacy-looking pumpkin painted on it) ....and her maroon shoes, accompanied by tan socks and tan slacks. She gets more excited about clothes (oh, excuse me, "outfits") than just about anybody I have ever known.🙄
Now I am consuming my brunch which is a can of Wild Planet ......'pole-and-line-caught, wild skip-jack [?] tuna' in extra virgin olive oil [!] with pasta, bits of tomatoes, red peppers, and green olives. 280 calories and yes, probably with too much sodium and cholesterol, but, but, but, it is ORGANIC 🙂, and has some Vit D, Calcium, Iron, and Potassium. But most importantly, it is EASY-PEASY, and not as bad as some other choices....
S'posta be something like 85 degrees today, and right now it is sunny and more than breezy.....it is quite windy!
Nannie is starting to fade back into a nap, her eyes are closed and her head is tilting to the right shoulder. Guess I ort to stick a small pillow at her neck so her head doesn't fall off. It's okay if she makes my head blow apart 🤯 , but not vice versa, because that would be elder abuse. Is it elder abuse if a 95 year old lady picks on and aggravates a 75 year old lady?.....asking for a friend.😋
Nannie is 3/4's of the way to Slumberland, so I am going up to get the box of stuff to sort into recycling and shredding boxes. Organized trash! It's something helpful to ME, that I can quietly do down here in the den whilst m'lady snores.
A Short Third Chapter ~
See that? I told you what I was planning to do next, and..........Can't do the paper sorting as the .... what are they?.....tendons and/or ligaments on the back of my (R) hand are pinging and stinging.........they are over-use symptoms! So I won't be wielding paper or scissors, and I'm a'gonna hafta get off line, too,and give it a rest. Not even going to do crossword puzzles (tho I DO know a LOT of cross words!) or word search puzzles. Will hold a paperback book with my left hand, and brace/elevate my right hand.
TOOOOOOOODLES!
Hi. It's a mild day here, clouds are moving in with a promise of rain tomorrow. We went to breakfast and I rode my bike. I stopped at the drugstore to get some more allergy meds. No wheezing today, so maybe I am getting on top of this nonsense. After I got home and walked the dogs, I dropped dh off at a daffodil class at a local hybridizer, then I went to the demo garden to spread fertilizer around 20 rose bushes, and started to wheeze. Nuts.
I picked up dh and we got dog food. Pretty mundane stuff. Imma fixing to take a nap.
I should go through some old books to donate/discard. I need to cut down some boxes to donate for the plant sale. Lots of shouldas, but after a nap.

Stars I can understand the mean thoughts, I have them too at work, with all the chaos I sometimes deal with
Hi Ado and TMB
Tweety glad the painting will be done, although being without a refrigerator for 3 weeks must be a pain
Work was busy again yesterday, had good bit to do for the person who was off and got a new case. But I did end up getting it all done by the end of the day
Went for a walk after work, then went to church a bit early to get ready as the assisting minister for the Good Friday service. Fairly small turnout although larger than the Maundy Thursday service
Will try and get out for some bird watching early, later in the morning have a protest, have to get there a bit early as I'll be serving as a marshal. Then will meet dad for lunch as usual, we haven't done that in nearly 3 weeks. Rest of the day should be pretty quiet. Svengoolie has It Came From Outer Space, which I think I'll watch as it's one of the more intelligent 50s scifi movies
Weather should be pretty good today, mid 50s with no rain
