Satisfaction survey :(....from a "consumer" view- ha ha

Moderate rant....

I got my **** survey from the MD office.

My reply...

No answers to any questions.

In the blank part of the paper:

"***** ***** works to destroy morale among healthcare workers and compels employers to put stupid policies into practice. ***** ***** makes healthcare unsafe by turning it into a concierge service, and not letting the people with the healthcare education do their job with out the CONSTANT black cloud of being some hospitality service, requiring meeting non-healthcare "needs" as determined by the patient, their family, visitors, or hairdresser- NOT those with their HEALTH in mind. If someone wants a paid pamperer, they need to go to a spa"

Any suggestions for others to add to theirs if they so desire?

Nothing to stop others from filling out theirs as they see fit. :clown:

Just make sure you give all 5s. You can say, "Press Gainey is the most ridiculous thing in the world, but my nurse was the smartest, most caring, wonderful clinician who saved my life and also performed CPR on my visiting grandchild and saved her life and swiftly ran out in front of a car in the parking lot saving a baby squirrel and thus preventing a lifetime of emotional trauma for my vegan son," but then because a light bulb was out you give a 4 to facilities question, and the nursing staff raise of 0.0000125% for the year is still gone. It's ALL about the numbers. I swear, our facility would rather us kill patients and get 5s than save lives if it means delaying getting a the patient's 5th cousin twice removed's landlady a warm blanket.

I'm just glad we at least send out written surveys. After an ER visit to my local facility, they wanted to do a phone survey. I kept telling her, "All 5. I'm going to tell you all 5s. Just put down 5s." But she insisted on asking all the questions, with at the end "1 being least satisified and 5 being most satisfied" for every single question. The only people with the patience to put up with that? Psychopaths who want to complain.

I recently had wonderful nursing care while hospitalized and wish I could get a survey!!!

Never saw a charge nurse, head nurse or supervisor, but the staff was terrific.

Spoke at length to the Infection Control nurse - - the TV/call light remote and the phone routinely fell off of the bed and had to be picked up off of the floor. Sigh! What to do, what to do!!!
