SATA

Congratulations all you amazing new nurses! I love following all the stories on here and it's making me hopeful. I take my test on the 26th of this month in LA. SATA are still stumping me. Any suggestions, not only for how to answer them but practice test Q's? I've been wanting to do Saunder's CD for them, but I've heard that the questions aren't as accurate.

Kaplan has been such a helpful tool. I just finished all the Qbanks with around 60-65. Test trainers in the 60 range as well.

Oddly enough I'm feeling pretty "zen" about the whole thing. I've been doing yoga every day and hiding the timer for Kaplan (once I knew you could do that for the test!) has been helping I think.

Good luck to all of us! :-D

For the reviews i was taking, they suggest that u read each answer and put the the statement to the true or falls, if u have a doubt then don't choose it !

Kaplan also has a sample test that's all SATA. I didn't do well on it but was good practice. I took the NCLEX last Thursday and it felt like I had a lot of SATA but in reality might not of been that many...just felt like it Maybe bc I dread them the most!

Thanks!

The thing that my Kaplan instructor (also my Dean) said was that what you resists persists on boards, which I firmly believe. Math, drugs, and SATA are my weak points so I'm trying to be as prepared as I can in those areas! :)

SATA are NOT my strong point but in doing practice questions I broke down each option in to true/false and tried to really think about what I knew of the subject being presented. I can honestly say SATA were the bane of my existence during nursing school. I took the NCLEX one week ago and had at least 20+ SATA but felt really good about them and passed with 75 questions. Make your weak point your strong point by doing as many questions as you can and read every rationale to make sure you understand why it's right/wrong. Good luck!
