Hey Everyone!

I made this forum for people that are applying to Santa Fe College ASN Program.

It would be nice if we can all share our experience and share our some of our informations during the process!!

Oh wow! Next week???? Ugh, my stomach just got a ton of butterflies. Oh my goodness, here we go...!

Hey y'all!

I just called the Santa Fe Health Sciences Counseling office to make sure they have my correct email address (I had not setup my sfcollege gmail account when I initially submitted my application) and the woman at the front desk, Peggy, said that they still won't be sending decisions until the first week of October. She might not know if the review is running ahead of schedule, but I just wanted to possibly prevent some anxiety if we do not hear anything next week.

Weird... she is the one who told me they were sending it next week!

When I applied last semester and was denied a seat, the letters came much more quickly than I anticipated. I'm so nervous, y'all!

Do any of you know if they look at our points as a whole or do they weigh one category heavier than the others?

For example: pre req GPA points > overall GPA points or kaplan>previous degrees etc etc.

In the group advising session, Mr. Fortner said that if they have a tie for points the tie breaker is the Kaplan score. So, I would say that the Kaplan score probably carries a bit more weight than the other points. They also hold a certain number of seats for EMTs.

So should we hear back this week or next week? And we get the email to our gmail if we set up our email that way correct?

It would be awesome if we heard from them this week, but, from what Mr. Fortner told me when I submitted my app and what they said when I called them last week, I think we will hear in the first two weeks of October.

Yes, they will send the decision to your school Gmail. I was told I had to set mine up because they would not release decisions to my personal Gmail.
