Santa Ana College Spring 2019

Published

Didn't see a thread for this school yet so I wanted to make one! I'll be applying with 80.5 points! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Make sure you study hard for the TEAS and score above a 90%. Also be a first generation college student, low income amputee veteran, who speaks a second language. I feel discouraged because people applying to Cypress College last cycle who had 30/30 application points were getting put on the alternate list.

Santa Ana gives a lot of points for any hospital experience/volunteering, so that will drastically bump you up in points. My advice is get all the experience you can get because it's a competitive field.

I hope they sent it today...

@Yamileth - You can try to apply for a health scholar program. They only require you to volunteer 4 hours a week. Also, I would take pharmacology. That gave me 7 points!

Just called and staff told me half of the letters were mailed out and by tomorrow all of them will be mailed out.

How long does it usually take once the mail them??

Thanks for the update a_chang!

@thanosismynurse Usually 1-3 business days.

thanks! I am going to volunteer just to have that under my belt once I apply to the Nursing program.

As far as studying for TEAS did you purchase any specific books? I am currently taking A&P II and will be taking Micro Spring 2019 but I will also be moving back to California once the semester is over & just getting stable again will be stressful & I just want to get myself as organize as possible beforehand.

Mometrix guide. Avoid "Trivium" brand study guides. They have too many errors. I also recommend TEAS Pocket Prep app.

Got my acceptance letter today but I will be turning down my spot. I applied with 82 points. Good luck everyone!

Wtf 82!! Damn! I'm nervous!

wow! amazing. where do you live?

Dang 82?? I'm nervous! I hope I get mine in the mail today.
