Hello everyone, I applied to Delta for the fall as well. Does anyone know how the program is structured and what it is like from any of the former or current students of the ADN program? Thank you !

My friend is in her first semester in the program all I know is the first semester is 5 days a week and after that it goes to 3 days a week. so its an intense start from what I hear but she really is/ was enjoying it. she says now it has been a bit of a learning curve with the whole cover-19 situation but they are working with them to figure it out.

Hi ladies! What is your GPA and TEAS test scores? I was going to apply, but was heavily discouraged. I was told most applicants are LVN’s, Rad Tech’s, Sonographers, CMA’s or with this with Bachelor degrees. Any feedback?

Don't be discouraged! Yes some may have a higher GPA and TEAS and maybe a ton of experience (I have none), but it's worth a shot! Worst case, you don't get in, but not applying is a guarantee you won't get in. Might as well take advantage and give it a try!

I would not be discouraged... dont give up if this is your dream... I would definitely apply to as many schools as possible to broaden the chances of getting selected but many run on at least a partial lottery system so its worth any and all the shots you can take to apply.. you will always wonder what if if you do not try... that is just my two cents.. hope it helps...

Thank you ladies! I put off my career for 10+ years due to negative comments and it is my fault for listening. Now, I’m slowly working back towards my goal and I’ll be 37 in a few month.

I know a college in Arizona that has 80% acceptance rate, but my husband does not want to move! ?

welcome and good luck..I get it..I just turned 30 ADN I took about an 8 year break and a lay off from my job actually got me motivated to go back and finally get to my dream goals.. I would definitely say to apply if you have everything done its worth a shot... hang in there we are all here to help and encourage... also I have no experience..

Thank you for the insight I appreciate it. This whole pandemic has affected everyone hope it passes soon so we can return to normalcy.

I am an older student as well of 27. I’m really nervous to start any nursing program. I did well on all my pre reqs a 4.0 but I know nursing school is a whole different ballgame. I took physiology over a year ago and I’m afraid I don’t remember a lot from the top of my head. I appreciate this forum and the support from all of you. Thank you again !

I as well have no health care experience. I was thinking of getting my cna or become a patient care technician but I feel that will only prolong my goal of becoming an RN and I did do well in my pre reqs and did okay on my TEAS with a score of 80.

I'm turning 35 this year and this is my first official round that I'm applying to for a Fall semester. It took me awhile to complete my prereqs with As while working full time. Don't feel discouraged and never give up. I literally applied to over 20 programs this round because I know I am not getting any younger LOL I did my VN program in my twenties and I had students in my class in their forties and fifties. This always inspired me that no matter how much older I get, I'm headed toward the right direction. You got this and we all got this! The hard work will pay off.

Hey everyone,

so I just logged on to check if they updated new dates for us on deltas website and it has now been extended to April 4th, 2020. So who knows when they will actually close it to get some dates to see if we are selected to turn in docs... I would imagine they cannot keep pushing it as new incoming students will need to submit to background checks and medical clearances as well before the fall begins... fingers crossed it smooths out soon....

Thanks for the update! I agree. And if people aren't able to take the TEAS, there isn't much point of keeping extending it until that reopens.

True I mean it sucks for those that haven't but they need to close it eventually to allow for selected candidates to do background checks and all..

So did anyone hear back about submitting docs yet? The link doesn't work anymore so I can't log back in to check. ?

UPDATE:

It said wasn't denied or asked to submit docs so that probably means I wasn't accepted to submit docs. ?
