SAN JOAQUIN DELTA COLLEGE FALL 2019 ADN

Published

Hey everyone I can't seem to find a forum for the Fall 2019 application for Delta so I thought I'd create one. I applied already. I like the way the new application is set up online. It was clearer to me this time around. I'm curious as to how many points everyone is applying with. ?

How is everyone's castle branch requirements going? Due date is coming up pretty soon!

Just have to purchase the Insurance and thats it

@J_Miguel.J I had some trouble but hopefully I'll be done by the end of this week! I'm waiting to purchase my until the 26th though because you can only purchase it within 60 days of your coverage start date and our first day of school is the 26th of August. I can't wait for all of this paperwork to be done!

Does anyone know how many days we'll be in class? I was looking at the schedule and it appears we have class 3 days per week and clinicals 2 days per week. Is that correct? That seems like a lot, especially since I have to work.

Out of curiosity, when they called and emailed you, how much time did they give you to accept or decline your position?

The two step TB test is a real PITA but once I finish that I'm just purchasing insurance (6/26), taking my drug test and I'm done

A little disappointed we've got class 5 days/week ?, but hopefully it'll only be the first semester and we'll get to 3 days/week for the remainder of the program. That'll be lovely.

Seriously, five days a week is rough. And speaking of the TB test, I only did it once because I had a TB test for work done in December. The student information packet says that if we’ve had one within a year, we didn’t have to do the two-step TB test. But castlebranch says they have to be 10-12 months apart. Can anyone verify this? I really don’t want to deal with having to get another one.

I had until the 10th. I got the email on the 6th.

This was me also. I had the two-step done in December and I thought I was fine since it says annually on the paperwork and every 10-12 months on Castle Branch. But I went into the Health Science office talk to Sunshine about something else and she looked at all my paperwork submitted and she said that it wasn't good. The test needs to be within 3 months of going into the clinical sites/hospitals. She thinks I need another 2 step, UGH! She said she will call and check to see if the one step is good. I checked back with her just now on the phone and she still didn't have an answer for me but told me to go get the first one today and she'd let me know if I need another one.

I heard you can get false positives if you've had it done more than once a year? But I assume you were fine with your one step?
