San Joaquin Delta College ADN Spring 2023

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, I'm making this so the people applying to the Spring 2023 San Joaquin Delta program can talk. Does anyone know when the application opens and ends? Also, How many points will you be applying with? I'm attaching the admission points criteria. I'm not sure if this is the latest one that they actually use, does anyone know?

Hello everyone good luck! This is my 3rd time applying it this school and ima he completely honest when I answer the question about how many points to get accepted. In the last 3 times I’ve applied I had 68,69.5 and 70 points and I didn’t get in by 3-4 wait list spots. I’ve been SO close so to be comfortable I believe you need at least 73-75 points. Each semester is a little different but that’s been pretty consistent. Good luck to everyone!

I took psych 2 and psych 70. Do I put both on the application or only psych 2. Psych 2 was a 3 unit class and psych 70 was a 1 unit class.

I would call and ask to be extra sure but I believe psych 2 is the option.

Thank you for the heads up! When they notify you if you’re waitlisted they let you know the spot too?

So the first thing is making it past the 1st round. You will get invited or not invited on your application status this usually happens 2-3 weeks after we submit our application. If you get invited that means you get to submit documentation like your ID,TEAS and etc basic paperwork. This doesn’t mean you got in, this is them just trimming off people. As long as you have at least 64-66 points you will get invited for docs I know people personally who did. After this it’s another 2-3 week wait until final ranking post and is this when you will know if your accepted, Not accepted  or alternate. If you see alternate you simply email the Department and they will tell you the waitlist spot you have. I got 20th and as time went on I got closer and closer. A week before their semester started I was told I was 3rd on the list so I was pretty close. People I know got 10th on the waitlist and in a week got told they got In because people declined their spot so for waitlist being top 10 is a pretty secure spot of getting in. Anything after it all depends on the semester and how many people drop it gets tough.

Thanks for all the information?

Do you know how the waitlist works when student received the same amount of points? (Ex: 5 student received 70 points total). Is it whoever applied first gets the spot?? And how many points are you applying this time around? Thank you. @Ramon

That's an interesting question. I've never thought about that before.

In that case I honestly have no idea how that works. Matter fact someone I know who had the same points as me got in last second before their semester started and she was 4 spots ahead of me with the same points. I would guess it’s random I doubt it’s who applies first.

I was wondering if they sort those people out by alphabetical order. What letter does your last name start with?

How did ya'll write the course name? Did you only write the name or the description as well?

What was your science GPA?

Hi everyone I just submitted my application to Delta hoping to get in. I got into BSN program at Chamberlain in Sacramento for Spring cohort. It would be nice if I get into community College (Delta) since it cheaper that way. Good luck to all.

How many points did you guys apply with?
