San Joaquin Delta College ADN Spring 2023

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, I'm making this so the people applying to the Spring 2023 San Joaquin Delta program can talk. Does anyone know when the application opens and ends? Also, How many points will you be applying with? I'm attaching the admission points criteria. I'm not sure if this is the latest one that they actually use, does anyone know?

Thank you! I’ve spent the whole morning make appointments ?

I was just told as soon as possible. I let them know I couldn’t get an appointment for a physical until the 29th of this month, they said it’s completely fine. They just stressed on getting the TB testing started, which I have an appointment for Monday??

Yea that makes sense bc the TB test takes a long time since you need to wait for 1 week after reading the first test.

Hi! I am alternate #10 for the Spring program.  If you are an alternate, I recommend reaching out to the health science administrative assistant named (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). She told me that the list isn't finished, but was able to tell me my number. I have applied 4 times before and was an alternate back in 2020 with only 63.5 points and was #28 on the list. From what I remember from the nurses discussion, they accepted up to #19 in 2020 when I applied. However, I applied in 2021 with the same amount of points and was not invited.

Right now I have 68.5 points:

-LVN license (Just became an LVN a couple months ago, so I don't have the 1000 working hrs yet)

-CNA certification (With no working experience)

-Science GPA: 2.97 (B in anatomy, B- in physiology, and B+ in Microbiology)

-4.0 in all the other classes

-88 on my TEAS (They accepted my score from 2019)

-Extra point for taking nutrition/med terminology

-I do not speak another language & have 3 associate degrees

Hoping this helps those who have applied and future applicants. Best of luck to the all of you! ?

You do have a chance! When I called health department about some questions I had, I also asked how far up to the start date do they still accept individuals from alternate. She said up to 2 weeks INTO the program! Be adamant about checking personal and school email DAILY.

Deadlines are approaching for those who have been selected, and there are so many reasons people can still get disqualified. Kind of an ugly scenario to hope someone gets disqualified so you can get in, I get it. But everything happens for a reason. Don’t lose hope

Hello everyone ! I just got accepted today from the alternate list! I have no clue what number I was, but so happy to join everyone on this new coming journey ? how do I join the facebook group?

Hi all!

I'm applying to Delta Spring 24 and I wanted to clarify the requirements needed in the final documentation packet.

I am a transfer student who has requested for official transcripts to be sent electronically. I have submitted physical course descriptions in the packet for all prerequisites completed outside SJDC, but I did not submit sealed official transcripts in the packet. Did anyone submit their packet as I did? I am worried I will get disqualified for not including physical transcripts in the packet.

Hey guys. Quick question, when everyone states their points, that's including the TEAS portion right? Probably a dumb question but just wanted to clarify for the future
