San Jacinto Fall 2022

Published

Hey! I'm applying for the north and central fall 2022 nursing program. Just wondering if anyone else has and if anyone knows when we figure out whether or not we got accepted?

Hey Y’all! I’m applying for this Fall too. My rubric score is 20. 92.8 HESI. Hopefully that’s competitive enough?

Good luck to you! At the information session for central, they said the lowest score accepted was an 18. I think a 20 is good. I asked him if it was even worth apply if I only had a 17 and he told me to give it a shot. Not super pumped though. I have 1 prerequisite still in progress so it’s not counted to my rubic score.  If not this semester, I think I’ll make it next ?

I have a 92 on the HESI and about 3.7 GPA. A on Micro, B on AP, A in English, AP 2 in progress.

Are you good on your Hep B titer? My result from Nov. was "Non-responsive" so I guess I have to get labs redrawn and a booster so it hopefully shows a numerical value this time. I hate that I didn't realize "non-responsive" would be an issue until now. Im really up against the deadline.

Yes I was good on all vaccinations. I would recommend to reaching out to someone from the nursing program. Explain your situation and tell them you’re in the process of getting it corrected. I think I read somewhere that it’s done before the first clinical it’s OK. But somewhere else it says it has to be done before applying. There was a lot of contradicting info in the process LOL.

So I went to review my rubric score and I scored myself wrong. I emailed the advisor to let her know, but I'm not sure how to fix it or if they will when reviewing or what. I also turned in my application before completing everything in Castle branch because I didn't know we were supposed to wait for everything to be done LOL. I turned my application in like in February and am just about to complete my castle branch stuff. Anyways, I am making mistakes?‍♀️

I don’t think your rubic should be that big of a deal since your correcting it before the deadline. Tbh I don’t see why we have to do the rubic ourselves when all the information is provided to them on the transcripts.

I hope it all ends up OK. Yeah I was also confused about when everything for castle branch had to be done. I think you still got time. Good luck!

I turned in my application before completing everything in Castlebranch because when I emailed Central she said to go ahead and do it and work on Castlebranch after!

Okay, well that is good then LOL thank you. Does everyone have all vaccines done?

Yes, my titlers were all good from the shots I got in childhood. I went to Walgreens and got my tdap and flu shot. If you haven’t got your tb test I would suggest doing that one asap because you have to go to the doctors twice. They give you the test 1 day and then you have to go back in 48 hours so they can read the results.

Does anyone have a due date on their castlebranch for the don and physical for central? Mine says they’re due 4/1. I assume it’s not correct but don’t know if it’s something I have to get corrected.

Nah you don’t have to get it corrected, pretty sure everyone’s is like that. Those aren’t supposed to be done until after acceptance. I emailed because I went to get a physical done and she said both were due if yo get accepted
